How old is she? She's probably way too,young for most of us old sods on here.

But if she wants to come down to Kyiv and visit me, then she's more than welcome. She'd love it here.

She's 28 but she looks years younger - she doesn't drink, smoke or do anything harmful to her health, she runs a lot (long distance) and ice-skates, so she's what I consider very sporty. I don't think she'd go anywhere without a chaperone, mind - she (like her sister that I'm married to) was brought up in a fairly old-fashioned way.

Another thing: if a Russian girl becomes your girlfriend, you're basically engaged in her mind. Which can be scary.

Know what you mean about girlfriend/marriage with these Russki/Ukrainian types. They can be a right hard nut to crack, but once they've made their minds up they;re straight in and thinking it's tip-toeing in the tulips until the wedding day. I've given up trying to work Ukrainian birds out. I'm even starting to look forward to leaving here in August and moving back home and to the real world again.
