Player Valuation: £60m
That's what BT will be paying for champions league rights.

Madness.

Just hope that they let their European Football crew do the games.

There will be games shown free to air. What those games are though is anyone's guess. Mind you, it makes sense to me to just take out the whole BT pack when it starts.

I don't know about anyone else but paying £50 a month or whatever it is to get Sky Sports and an extra £12 for BT just isn't worth it, it'll work out at about £5-£10 per game if you only watch football. I only watch football and F1, 4OD and BBC iPlayer do me for other stuff.

Knew it was gonna happen. Absolutely scandalous.

Will just encourage more illegal streaming and foreign decoder boxes that they're trying to stop

I thought this. They've also got Europa League from 2015-18.

Are these channels available on a Sky box, or do you need a whole new subscription system/box/company?

Sceptical myself.

you can get them on sky.

but i think you have to phone bt not sky to get it put on which means they can talk you round to a bt package instead of sky very clever.

and i hope it stays free on virgin when this kicks in.

i realy think bt are in for the long haul here and will push sky all the way as they already had the broardband customers in place before releasing the sports channel unlike setanta ect..
