At the time we had AVDM showing everyone at training what not to do. Its sad that injuries and club politics have cost this lad - but English players are brought up to pass a few exams and he will be sat on a few quid - one life ends another begins.

I'm not totally convinced on the education side to be honest , I know that's changing but when Johnson was a youth player I'm not sure how much education he'd of got .

As for the money he seems sorted financially but keep in mind 60% of professional footballers go bankrupt within 5 years of retiring including a few premier league players . Attempts to maintain the lifestyle their used to can really cost them .

There are people in awful financial situations that wouldnt give a thought to the player and i suppose why should they and im Not here to bang the drum for him . however i suspect Johnson has a few issues that a big fat cheque may not alleviate .
