Manchester City line up Johnson/Lescott SWAP with Toffees - Fansfc

Manchester City are hoping to persuade Everton to offload Joleon Lescott this month.

Mark Hughes has identified the England international as the defender he wants to bolster his back four at Eastlands, and he is set to make his move during the winter market.

It is believed the Blues manager is willing to offer £5million for goalscoring 26-year-old, as well as allowing Michael Johnson to head to Goodison Park as part of the deal.

Toffees boss David Moyes is a huge fan of the England Under-21 international, who was rated in the region of £10million when he was on top form last season.

Injuries have scuppered Johnson’s form this term but he is undoubtedly one for the future, but it remains to be seen if Moyes can be tempted to part with Lescott to land him.
Absolute sick of the pathetic fees branded about for our players.

£10m for Yak
£2.5 for Baines

Now £5m and a injury hit player who is struggling to get in a side battling relegation for Lescott

£10m and Johnson should have been the offer and even then that isn't worth considering in my opinion. Lescott is better for us that Johnson would be. No thanks!

Utter bag of bollocks. Have you seen our lads. I doubt anyone would choose to leave if they were paid to by us.

They want to play for us. You can't buy that.

I would buy johnson happily. But at a cost to one of our lads. Not a hope.

i'd maybe give them Lescott's autograph for £5 million + johnson... maybe

i agree its a joke, if kaka is worth £100 mil +, then surely lescott is worth atleast £35 mil.

thinking about it the other day - who do we have that has the potential to be world class.

cahill, arteta are close but dont look like they will improve much more.

Lescott to me is our best chance. Based on Ferdinand being worth 30 million , the very minimum we should even consider is 30 million for him.

And given the difficulty in securing someone to replace him of similar stature I would just refuse to sell outright.

Jagielka. Fastest improvng player in the Prem bar none.

 - 10 goal scoring, English Center Back AND Left back for £5 million? Plus johnson who is worth about £5 million himself?! Thats an absoulte joke. Bridge about £12 million, Bentley £17 million...Lescott should be worth much more. So honestly, my quote would be £20 million + Player
But seeing as this is City - £30 million + Johnson + Another player.

Jagielka and Lescott probably the best chances - excluding Vaughan/Rodwell/Gosling.

Anyone got a horrible feeling that it would be like Football Manager - where the Chairman decides to sell if the offer is too good to refuse :unsure::unsure:

5m and a player is hardly an offer he cant refuse. I would say if it got above £30m that might be the case.

Sorry i wasnt on about £5 million, just any offer in general. Because right now i wouldnt sell any of our players - not even for £30 million. They are too important for the second half of the season.
