£30m for Shaw?

Erm....why rub it in... (???) Why do these legends feel the need to do this? I put this comment in the same category as those Nevs comments about Everton hospitality.

Thing is, a major injury does not have to mean a terrible tackle. Didn't Busst break his own leg by getting his studs caught in the ground? Luc Nilis destroyed his leg in a challenge with the keeper which was completely innocuous.

Keane is being a tad mean-spirited but the fact remains Moreno did not go out to hurt Shaw, and was trying to execute a tackle. The fact Shaw broke his leg is nothing but an unfortunate outcome.

Players are all too often vilified because the angry mob always define the level of malice through the severity of the injury.

I wasn't sure if Moreno was intended to hurt Shaw in the first place but that was just a horrible, horrible tackle. How can he made that two footed tackle (high on the ground too) without knowing he was about to break someone's legs?

Rubbish, it was an injury due to the over excessive health and safety rulings that are ruining football which are created by the 'administrators' and lawyers running the game who've never kicked a football in their life.
If he had jumped in with a two footed challenge then, He'd have won the ball even more cleanly than he did and slid under Shaw without catching him. The problem was that would have been a penalty and a sending off, as it was he's had to go in one footed and his other foot had to go somewhere. Unfortunaly it hit Shaw on his planted leg and broken it twice. (Not even a foul)

No intent, just was unlucky as he couldn't make his trailing leg suddenly disappear as the Games Administrators assume happens in these circumstances
