Player Valuation: £10m
Is it sensible to presume that Moshiris cash injection of £100 million is a one off deal. He is unlikely to repeat this season after season, even as a billionnaire it's a sure way to burn through cash and FFP rules would get in the way.

So by bringing in Walsh is he basically briefing the management team to spend wisely and make this money count. No use spending on players where we can't recoup any value but do it right and we will eventually increase the calibre and value of our squad.

Value has been short at hand in this window, so we may be having to accept it will take a little longer. Blowing it all on a marquee signing or two could spell long term disaster.

Whilst this is frustrating it may well be commercially prudent.

Lock thread - This £100 million figure has no substance to it at all.

There are no quotes attributed to FM suggesting his proposed level of investment. It will be what he thinks is appropriate.

Yes, there is no way this will be anything but a one time deal. Its typically done by owners for new coaches, to let them "mold" their team. With the new TV revenue, each team has about 40 mill to spend anyway, so really he is only putting forth about 60 mill. But it would be completely unsustainable to do it more than once or twice.

In reality, if we have to positive spend in the future, we are doing a poor job evaluating talent, because it means the players we bought are now worth less than what we paid for them, have failed, and we now need new talent. Thats why Walsh is so important to the long term success of Everton.

So...has the club confirmed 'a cash injection of £100 million'? And if they have, was it all to be spent on players?

Ahhh, the mythical £100m. I must say I have never managed to find a direct quote putting a firm number on what we have to spend. Does one even exist?

I'm sure he has a plan mate. What it is I don't know.

Where did the £100mil rumour even come from
Same bloke who gave Niasse Russian player of the year probably.

Is right, I'm hoping he makes us a more financially competitive side (hopefully through sponsorship deals etc) he can't just shove cash in an make us world beaters (with my very limited understanding of ffp and balancing the books)
