Nailed it there Tel, I was barking up the wrong tree. Absolutely need upgrades on the players you listed. I’d say in order, CM, RM, RB, then LB are the highest priorities. Just not convinced Jim Garner can be anything other than a squad player, whilst McNeil does offer some decent creativity...

Should Everton have done more in the transfer market by now?

I'd say we're probably one signing behind where we should be at this stage. No need for panic as we're clearly going after quality, which takes time. If we're sat here on 1st August and we're not signed a RW or CM my opinion will have changed.

The biggest phallus currently in the premier league is that horrible rat Andy Robertson. Gutted he's signing for us.

DION is synonymous with Dublin, Evan Ferguson is from Dublin, and he's about to sign for Roma, who are owned by TFG, who also own Everton. C'mon guys this one was easy.

Are you the scriptwriter for Everton? Definitely seen this film before.

    Confirmed Signing Mark Travers

So does he want to be number 2 at Bournemouth or Everton. Like choosing between a kick in the nuts or a slap in the face, poor lad.

I’d file that Bakayoko one under no chance, feels like the latest “using Everton to drum up interest” link.

Realistic Target for the 2025-26 season

We’ve only got about 14 players, you live and die by your recruitment as they say. Lot to get right to secure a top half finish. I think anything from 10th upwards would be fantastic after the last few horror years and criminal mismanagement.

    Confirmed Signing Thierno Barry

Welcome Thierno lad, run around a lot and win tons of headers and we’ll probably love you.

Hope that's not true, because it increases the chances of them deeming Soucek as surplus. Now Soucek does know where the back of the net is, but he's basically a slightly better Doucoure and makes Michael Keane look as dainty as a ballerina on the turn. There's no way Moyes doesn't go for him if...

    2024/25 Michael Vincent Keane

What would you have done this year instead? Spending actual money on a CB when we can barely score goals seems daft to me when we’ve got 3 very good ones. I also don’t think many people are particularly pleased he’s stayed, it’s more acknowledging that it’s a necessity when we’ve got limited...

Why would you assume that? There could be a decent younger lad coming through or a decent backup going on a free. Right now there isn't.

    2024/25 Michael Vincent Keane

If the alternatives as rumoured were a rapidly declining Ben Mee or spending actual money on Adam Webster, I’m happy he’s signed on again. Seriously doubt any 4th choice we would’ve brought in would have been any better than him.

    Diogo Jota

Absolutely tragic this, really feel for his family. Reminds you that footy isn’t the be all end all.

    Confirmed Signing Thierno Barry

Reckon it’s more likely that Fab’s spaffed his load early again, rather than it being done done. The kind of fella who tells his mates he’s taking the girl home when in reality he’s just bought her the first drink.

    Confirmed Signing Thierno Barry

Really good signing if we get it over the line, which it’s looking like we will. Dont think anyone in the club will be viewing Sherif as third choice, think its far more likely we’ll play N’Diaye up front if both Beto and Barry are injured (which would be very unlucky anyway). Saves the need to...

I would too. Loan with an option. High risk (in the sense it’s very likely not to work out) but high reward. Also worth noting that I’m currently in Brazil about to do a favela tour so I’ll keep an eye out for a kid who looks like they can slot. Boots on the ground scouting.

Believe so mate. Suppose Seamus and Jake could give us an idea as to his character and whether he’d be worth the risk. Barely got a sniff at West Ham even under Potter which is a big concern. Could see his career falling off massively if he doesn’t get the next move right.

His stock has never been lower, and there’s rumours that his attitude is the biggest barrier to his progress. Looked a serious player when he first turned up. Loan with an option would be worth the risk for me, if anyone can coax it out of him it’s Moyes.
