I gotta feel Siggy is going to gel with something up front. Be it Richalison or Walcott. He's going to have options and that's what he needed last year.
I thought Coleman/Gerry had a shot if they had enough time together and kept a threat like Lukaku up top, but was not to be. The greatness in Baines/Pienaar was that they did what they did with little help from huge talent or big threats up front.
You're right on. Pienaar's downfall and later sale was a sad one as well. Part of my introduction to Everton was the Baines-Pienaar pairing at it's prime.
Yeah he has shown something once and awhile, but not enough to invest resources in developing more from him. We have better options now so make a move.
I said there was debate on who was in charge of each of the major transfers...that has nothing to do with fan optimism in June. I'm talking August after transfers were done.
Damn right. Also no one was back slapping Walsh cause no one was even sure who was handling the buys last season. Gana seemed like his so good on him but I remember much debate on who was doing the transfers.
I've seen the £200k per week a few times, but no ideas on the bonus. I mean he easily would have cost £15m to buy so giving him the bonus is not crazy.
As someone who became a blue in 2009 it's kind of sad to see the end of the players I started watching back then in Jags and Baines, but this seems to be a sign that 2018 will be the swan song for both of them.
