    Moshiri

He's unbelievably fortunate that Pickford saved Maddison's penalty and Doucouré slotted against Bournemouth, or else we could so easily be sitting mid-table in the Championship with an unserviceable debt threatening the club's existence. I'd also like to think that he had 777 on strings, using...

    2024/25 James Garner

He's a perfectly competent player, but not sure he excels sufficiently at any part of his game to be a key part of a team who should now be aiming for European places. I feel like we often look vulnerable when the opposition are in transition due to a lack of physical presence or natural '6' in...

    Richarlison

On a free and under-30 then it would be a different story. Unfortunately he's still got 2 years left on his deal so you're still looking at 20m next summer

    Richarlison

By that I mean that we've been severely hamstrung for the past 5 years because of previous dealings, signing players aged 27-30 on high wages from middling premier league teams. This fella couldn't stay fit towards the back end of his tenure here (to which your quotes on the previous page will...

    Today’s Football - 2024/25 Season

It's been rather clear that the difference between City's most effective teams and this one is their previous ease in stretching teams with constant overloads in wide areas, and their wingers (Sané/Sterling/Mahrez) getting beyond the wingbacks and inevitably finding a blue shirt with a cut back...

    Today’s Football - 2024/25 Season

taking Cherki off when they did (although cooked) had shades of Ndiaye being dragged off against Bournemouth at home. Suddenly, they had nobody to hold onto the ball, get the team 20-30 yards up the pitch and take the sting out of the match, and so the pressure came back in waves.

    Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Chris Rigg would be a coup if we could get that over the line, a real statement of intent. Elsewhere in the Championship, it's nice to see Isaac Price doing well at WBA; wouldn't be averse to having another look at him. Thought it was a shame at the time to let him go permanently as he looked a...

Match Thread Notts Forest 0-1 Everton. Sat 12th april. 3pm

Looking fairly solid and comfortable, but clearly reluctant to commit men forward for the first 60 mins. Hopefully get Doucouré off soon, the absolute helmet

    2024/25 Youssef Chermiti

A 20 year-old was on the pitch for 15 minutes after having been out for 9 months, and you've already concluded that he needs to be sold on? How about we just sit tight and see how he gets on for a bit?

We dropped off significantly as the game went on, but to have a clear pull retrospectively overruled at the death is just completely astonishing

I much prefer Alcaraz stylistically, but Douc's energy whilst the game is tight is the better fit of the two imo. Still have visions of him coming on against Bournemouth trying to defend a 2-0 lead, so I'd be reluctant to give him any game management responsibility.

    Everton January 2025 Transfer Thread

He's lost the plot completely after having backed the snot-faced, bald coward to the hilt, only to be shown up mere days later by a half-competent manager, who's managed to amass 9 points with consummate ease, amid an injury crisis without any reinforcements whatsoever. On topic: I would've...

    Everton January 2025 Transfer Thread

Looks good in the Championship and is already putting up solid numbers as a 21 y/o. I have doubts over his physical attributes as a winger in the premier league - looks weak and slow off the mark, and his 'feint -> byline -> floated cross' act may not translate as well. For me, he screams...

    Hey folks

Hey folks! I was previously part of the forum under the alias Gabagool (was mostly found in the Electronic Music thread), but took a leave of absence to reduce my internet consumption for a bit, during which time I lost access to the account. Former Upper Bullens STH whilst growing up on the...

    2024/25 Charly Alcaraz

Quite liked the very little that I saw of him in 22/23. He seems comfortable driving with the ball from deep and joining the striker, not really had that quality since Barkley left. Given that Doucouré's output has reduced significantly, he looks to be a decent pickup, provided the fee is not...
