    Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Broja comes to mind. Barely saw any time on the pitch. His glass ankles kept breaking. Could also toss in Chermitti, Coleman’s been hurt a lot. Branners was out a while. Tarks. Mangala. Tim. Been tough for us.

    Last Film You Watched

I finally saw Superman. I loved it. Having grown up watching Christopher Reeve, this one got me in my feels a little. It was fun and just really well written. I recommend it.

What are you currently listening to?

Not so much listening to as watching, but I’ve been liking this new documentary that’s out on Billy Joel.

    Rice - what’s yer go-to?

Biriyani. Yes! Totally with you, mate. And I love love love a well made paella.

    TV Series

I agree about the drop off between seasons 1 and 2 for The Last of Us. Seems the entire thrust of the show, which was to figure out how to kill mushroom people and survive that as well as it growing in pipes below the town, was replaced by the thrusting between Ellie and Dina. The whole...

    Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

As players who’ve been holding out for higher wages don’t get the offers and as time keeps running out, I think this thing will start to break free a little and get moving. Leverage will shift back to the buyer.

I just looked them up. The pics look really cool.

    2024/25 Harrison Armstrong

It’s always a fine line with young players like him. Play him too soon and he gets injured or you find he needs more loan time and he could get discouraged or regress. Or be too cautious and tie him up on loan too long. The older I get, the more I lean towards just going for it. Careers in the...

    Rice - what’s yer go-to?

For me, it’s coconut jasmine rice. Love it, especially served with a butter chicken and some naan.

I love that his goal celebration goes back to childhood.

New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Wrong quote for me. Sorry. I was chuckling at the OCD comment about letter spacing. I see it though it could be the angle the picture was taken. I don’t see anything wrong with it.

Dwight McNeil anywhere else than on the left side of the pitch isn’t very helpful. He projects that he clearly wants to get to the left side of the pitch or force the ball onto his left foot. I think he’ll struggle to find minutes again as a starter.

    2024/25 Harrison Armstrong

I think we’ve got a star in the making with him. Another loan spell isn’t what he needs. He needs to see the pitch in the PL. Maybe become a 60’ sub for a while and see where that gets us. Maybe we’ll find that’s the right slot for the time being or he’s ready to start.

Exactly. We’re competing with everyone else in a similar position. We try to sweeten the deal with the stadium but we’re lumped together until we’re more successful. The top clubs in the world immediately bought up all the best players with the cash they had in their pocket and didn’t bat an eye.

    2024/25 Youssef Chermiti

I still think there’s something there. He was injured long term and since getting better hasn’t played a ton. I wouldn’t call him awful. There are some truly awful players out there. But he’s unpolished and untested. Needs a nice loan spell like Armstrong and then we can see what we have.

    2024/25 Nathan Patterson

Totally agree, mate. Of that list, most have gone. Love Seamus but he’s hit that injury prone time in life and can’t reliably be counted on. Even so, Coleman gives me more confidence than Patterson. I don’t even know what happened to Dixon. He played once or twice the beginning of last season...

    Richarlison Poll

Has there been anything in media that the threads and polls are back up? Or is it because there’s been a stall or differences in expectations of where we should be at this point in time so bring up Richy again?

    2024/25 Nathan Patterson

As polarizing as he is, if we sell him we’ve got yet another player to replace. I’d rather hang onto him until we can field a team with a bench.

    Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

I’m starting to get a little concerned, too, with so many positions unfilled. Who really knows about Luiz. We’re going to have to stop looking left and right at other league’s top flights and start looking down to the Championship. Time isn’t on our side and neither is money.
