    From a Newcastle perspective I'd see/hope it is more a Callum Wilson replacement than Isak. Wilson's contract is up end of the season, and DCL with better service and a bit of confidence would be a good value rotation/backup without a fee.

    I would love it if Everton signed Miguel Almiron* ...but realistically he would be a terrible signing for Everton. His wage demands will be high, with Evertons squad he'd be easy to mark out the game and his support play won't help your other players score.

    I'm in agreement. I like Elliot Anderson, and he's a solid player with decent potential...but £35m feels steep. Even with both the English and potential premium. I'd have thought possibly £15-25m as the range. He's played a fair number of games in the Premier league to a reasonable standard...

    I'd happily keep him at Newcastle to the end of his contract. He's definitely still good enough to play in the Premier League for at least one more season, maybe two with the right players around him. That said, he'll want some certainty and I can't see him getting an extension at Newcastle...

    You have a point - with McNeil, Coleman and Ashley Young...Matt Ritchie would be a better fit at Everton. Just have to fit his appearances around his Lorry driving schedule. Jokes aside Murphy in my view is an upgrade on any of those listed above for likely less than half the value being placed...
