Really happy Van Aert won but loved that Poggi gave it a good go

I know Tommy Wright was quality and a forgotten icon of Evertons 70s team. Probably didn't earn in his career what Patterson earns in one season

He took over from the great Tommy Wright who was in the England squad in 1970 and was the epitome of Evertons fall 😒

Hang on a moment! You obviously didn't see Mick Bernard in the 70s makes young Patterson look like a top PL full back😁

I have to agree I have been hoping he would come good but today its his brain is just not PL pace. He has the attributes but just not the quickness of thought.

It's difficult to get away from the Armstrong tainted days but cycling today has more tests than any other sport. I think food change altitude training and fueling during a race has changed the landscape. It's interesting that after over 2000km the difference between the 2 is 4 minutes both...

Depending on your age and the roads you ride on i would go with a gravel bike the geometry is much easier on the body and the gearing is easier on the knees and legs. I have always ridden road bikes but converted to a gravel bike about 4 years ago and rarely ride my road bike these days. I am 63...

I think Remco is quality but the standard set by Jonas and Tadej is just a different level even Primoz looks ordinary next to these two.

I am not to sure he thinks to much about being popular with other team's but as all cyclist including MVP they just focus on winning and is there a cost to cycling the giro and monuments have been excellent this year and the TDF is shaping up nicely.

What i like about Pogacar is that he loves to race whether its TDF or giro or monument races he is always looking to win. Jonas V is a great rider and I can't understand why he dosent race in the monuments and his cautious race tactics don't make for excitement he is the best cyclist in the...

    Match Thread Accrington Stanley 1-1 Everton [Pre-Season 2025/26] - Tues 15th July 2025 - 7.45pm KO

Normally I have difficulty following preseason games usually overpriced players going through the motions but tonight I really enjoyed watching the youngsters play especially Armstrong but great cameos by Heath and Clarke.

    Confirmed Signing Mark Travers

Good goalie spent time playing with Boro last year and looked as good as any goalie in the Championship with exception of the lad at Burnley being the standout.

    Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

I really like Hackney I watch a lot of Boro and he is their best player and wouldn't be disappointed if we signed him. Can he make it as a prem player I don't know! But if he can make the step up would be a great signing.

He did struggle! but has only just turned 21 yrs old so its difficult to know what was going on at the saints also remember Alcaraz was rejected by southampton and Gana looked terrible at Villa.

    2024/25 Jack Harrison

I am not a fan of Jack Harrison but maybe Moyes sees him as a back up for a small or no amount of money then he would be able to splurge more on a better winger. Moyes has seen him play and train and lets be honest the last manager didn't exactly bring the best out of players.

    2024/25 Michael Vincent Keane

I think the above list puts into perspective the quality thats generally available at back up center half in the league As a defensive group we have as good as any outside of maybe four teams in the league, we do need a couple of back up fullbacks. I don't think we are accepting mediocrity...

    2024/25 Beto

I have to agree! I wonder if he painted himself into a corner last year turning down a move and a new contract waiting for a big pay day elsewhere and then the 24/25 season happened and he missed big chances looked decidedly average and then was injured or sub for when Everton went on a good...

    2024/25 James Garner

I know Garner isn't everyones favorite but if you look at the ratios of wins when he came back from injury after Christmas compared to before it was a important return( I know there was many other factors after Christmas moyes etc) but his off the ball work was really good this year.
