Aye, current form aside, it's Germany in their own back garden and will always be difficult to say the least. But, you make good points there and it's almost a free hit. We're as well going for it against them as no one expects us to get a result.

What did you all make of the Scotland v Finland game last night? I thought the first half was pretty poor, the second half was better, at times. I thought we had spells where we played some decent stuff, pressed well and were trying to change things up.. Then pure school boy defending at times...

I've got a, small but noticeable, sense of optimism about this year. Which, as a Scot, usually means it'll be a disaster. The Germany game is probably a step too far. But I reckon we can get a result against the Swiss and Hungary.

Yes, we did. And we topped the group for most of the campaign, which included a win over Spain. Thanks for recognising our achievement. I'm not sure why you're being so sniffy about Scotland qualifying. We can only play the teams we get drawn against. I don't think we need to be all apologetic...

So I've heard. I've only seen small clips of Doak but he certainly brings something else to the team. Electric pace and always looking to run at defenders with the ball at his feet. I was hoping he was going to be a wee surprise for this tournament. The injury list is a bad one. Like you say, it...

Group A: Germany, Scotland, Hungary, Switzerland

Aye, I was saying we are just a couple of good central defenders and a striker short of really taking us to that next level, which would be average. But, there are some players coming through, we have a young squad with some real quality for the future, like Hickey and Ferguson. Hopefully an...

We finished second in our group behind Spain. I don't think our magnificent qualification had anything to do with expanding tournaments.

    Absolutely. Totally agree.

Yep. Our league up here is far from the best, but I'll always stick up for it. We don't have anywhere near the money sloshing around the English leagues,or the polished, world-class player. But there are good games to watch up here, despite what people say. Like the last OF game, or the C*ltic v...

What a game, especially for a (sort of) neutral like me..

I'll second that. There's nothing else to say apart from @davek's wee GIFs are pretty accurate. There has been a mad drop in form. If I'm right, we won all our games in Jan, then Feb, then our rear-ends collapsed. Ross County fully deserved that win yesterday.

    Today's Football - 2023/2024 Season

I thought my team was poor in the first half, but then scored 3 goals in the 2nd half. The game had excitement, controversy, good goals and drama. So, yeah, I thought it was good. Just because it wasn't City v Madrid doesn't mean it wasn't good to watch. I didn't have time to critique the finer...

I'm glad that you're delighted, but it seems a bit snobbish to refer to our league like that. I would argue that, considering the media coverage leading up to this game, our game is alive and kicking. I would rather watch the game today over games like Luton v Burnley (yaaaawn).

Correct. Calling it 'blatant cheating' is just silly.

    Today's Football - 2023/2024 Season

What a snobby view on what was an entertaining game of football. I would rather watch the game today over most, if not all, of the PL games I've watched this season. To say Rangers would struggle in the PL isn't exactly news, most teams outside the PL would do the same without all that tv money.

    Scottish football

Oh, I saw it. To call it blatant cheating is just ridiculous. You might not agree with the decision, but it's far from cheating. You could call CCV not being booked for kicking the ball away during a Rangers free kick 'blatant cheating'. You might find it surprising bit there isn't actually a...
