    2023/24 Dwight McNeil

Can certainly hit them, but can't weight a pass unfortunately. Deadball delivery ok. He's so left-footed though that at one point yesterday he had to try and do some elaborate turn to control the ball rather than just use his right foot. Reminded me of Zoolander where he can't turn left.

Fantastic win. Just what the Dr ordered. Gana MOM for me, mainly for his goal as it calmed us down, but he also did well breaking things up. Branthwaite also played well I think. Our passing is atrocious, but whatever. Another 3pts should do it I think.

    2023/24 Beto

He and Doucoure need to get onside. Basic forward play is racing back to get onside before the ball is delivered. Not slowly ambling in an offside position. Not sure if it's just laziness or a lack of fundamentals for this level

If Branthwaite is out injured, I think we have to play Keane. He can win a header/compete against Wood and Wood's not the most mobile so shouldn't get skinned. Always a chance he handballs it or dives in, but if it's him or Godfrey, I'd rather have Keane. I'd play Garner at right back, drop...

    2023/24 Sean Dyche

75% of the way through the season and I don't think he knows what his best team is. Surely he can see that Doucoure isn't an effective 10? Young isn't a speedy winger getting up and down the touchline? It was pretty clear that the midfield was in trouble last night, but rather than changing...

    2023/24 Abdoulaye Doucoure

Can't play him up top with Beto, neither of them can hold the ball up. I think he was probably better in midfield (his actual position) than playing as a 10, but that isn't saying much.

    2023/24 Seamus Coleman

Not his fault he's getting picked. Can't understand Dyche selecting Young on the right with him. Slowest right hand side in the league by a mile

    Relegation 23/24 Thread

Honestly, teams just need to let us have the ball. We're not going to score enough and we're too slow to get back. Midfield looked knackered and they haven't played for ages. Young and McNeil running in treacle, and Garner and Onana too weak in the tackle, standing around looking at who is going...

We looked knackered somehow. Chasing shadows. Really struggled without someone to hold the ball up front and lost count of the number of times we wasted passes. To be fair they took their chances and I'm sure that's what Dyche will say. Difficult to see how we are going to survive really... just...

    6 + 2 Point Deductions

What a mess. We're going to appeal this, if it's close at the end of the season and we stay up you could imagine the likes of Luton or whoever appealing this too etc. Then the whole thing will be binned anyway next season. Joke

    2023/24 Ashley Young

If he was a magician on the ball or put in pin point crosses, you could understand it. But we might as well play Harrison. At least he can run. Ok, he can't beat the first man with a cross, but Young consistently puts the ball too long or straight at the keeper and has to hang back because...

Huge win but pretty painful to watch. Thought we were a bit lucky with the red card? Know it was a meaty tackle but was a long way away from the goal and McNeil didn't have it under control. Not that it made a difference to our tactics of course, but it probably helped keep them out.

    2023/24 Ashley Young

That's a good point, I was wondering why he did that. Now it makes sense to me, he was just annoyed about who he had to mark

    2023/24 Nathan Patterson

Feel pretty sorry for the guy. Dyche clearly doesn't fancy him at all. What is he, fourth in the right back pecking order (Godfrey, Coleman, Young)? Or maybe even fifth behind Garner. Imagine he must be wondering about a move in the summer

    2023/24 Sean Dyche

He only did it cos he thought we were going 2 down. Am only surprised he went ahead with the subs after the goal was ruled off

It was a definite penalty by the way, really odd defending.
