    Dyche In Or Out

He’s done well under the circumstances. It’s a bad run of form & frustration from the crowd is understandable especially when he responds with negative team selections at home against weaker teams.

    2023/24 Nathan Patterson

Personally hope Dyche is looking at Nathan as an option to play in front of Godfrey in training. Hibbo & Seamus 2.0 except this time Tony is wayyyyy more rapid.

    2023/24 Jack Harrison

So basically you don’t like Dyche...fair enough. Try to respect all opinions but they really are like arseholes. Everyone has one & sometimes they’re shitty. This is some next level wham you’re chatting mate. It’s the morning here so maybe that’s unfair & you’ve been on the ales. Better stick...

    2023/24 Jack Harrison

Sorry mate but…really? So Branthwaite, Onana, Myko & Garner are not good players? I’ve only excluded McNeil because you gave an opinion on him.

    2023/24 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Doucs doesn’t score half his goals without the work Dom does. Nor do others. Dom draws defenders & creates space for others to play into with his movement. He does this in every game. With no one to play Doucs role Dom been more isolated. Chasing down the second ball himself half the time...

    2023/24 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

That’s not setting a low bar it’s saying there’s more to the role especially in our set up. Dom does those aspects very well even when he’s not scoring. No one is arguing he’s in good goal scoring form & he’s never been a clinical striker but you can’t discount everything else he does for the...

    2023/24 Jack Harrison

How does this relate to your post about not trusting & developing young players when given examples that contradict you? Interesting other opinion though. Don’t agree with you at all but maybe if you explained what an “actual central midfield in a proper footballing system” means to you I will...

    2023/24 Jack Harrison

Seen this still get trotted out a Dyche criticism a couple of times. What basis is there for it? Myko is clearly improving. Branthwaite, Onana, Garner & McNeil are all 23 or younger & trusted to be first choice. Patterson is generally seen as improving by most & close to being a starter. So is...

    2023/24 Seamus Coleman

Better than at Palace & was solid considering they clearly targeted our right. May be first choice on balance of everything, but Patterson is pretty close now. Feel he’s lost another yard of pace after this lay off & others in the backline appeared to be covering for that. Can’t get up & down...

    2023/24 Jarrad Branthwaite

Realistically to demand what he is worth we’d have to be in a much stronger financial position. If only one club comes in for him we’ll sell well below the 100M he’s worth. Our best hope is a bidding war breaking out.

    2023/24 Jarrad Branthwaite

There were valid criticisms of Stones as he was developing here. But only a few couldn’t see he was going to be a top drawer defender. Branthwaite’s on the Rio Ferdinand at West Ham path..breaks through, gets first England cap young, sold for pretty big money.
  13. StDomingosGringo

    2023/24 Jarrad Branthwaite

They’re different players but yes he’s already ahead in some areas & his ceiling is right up there. That’s not knocking Stones at all who I’ve always thought is a magnificent footballer and should continue to be for many more years.

    2023/24 Jarrad Branthwaite

Yeah…sadly he’s just that good it’s only a matter of time. Hard to escape the thought he’s Stones natural successor, but really hope we see him wear our blue at BMD before he helps pay for it.

Match Thread Everton v Aston Villa - Team Prediction, Match Report & MotM Poll

Villa are in that group of clubs I dislike slightly less than the others so I’m not hating them having a good season. But we’ve had the break we were desperate for & I can see our defense coming out on top. Beto to bundle one in off his arse late. 1-0 to the boys.

    2023/24 Youssef Chermiti

He’s a young lad that needs to settle in our environment, with our coaches looking at him & his areas of development. Farming him out to PSV or Preston right now isn’t what he needs. Next season with a recall option if DCL or Beto are out for a long period sure.

    2023/24 Youssef Chermiti

You imagine this year we’ll be looking at him closely within our own system before looking for a suitable loan for next year if he’s still 3rd choice.

    January transfer window 2024

Yeah does look like I was off on that one. Either I misread a table or found something out of date

    January transfer window 2024

I was surprised too. The other wages they had listed all looked like the legit figures. Two of the lowest earners then a gap to Garner & Myko in the 50s top of my head.

    January transfer window 2024

Onana isn’t on anything like 100k. I’ve seen a couple of credible sites that have him on high 30s same as Patterson.
