Not true, football is by far the most played sport, then its gaa football, then hurling. Football clubs do wonders at grass roots level and even now at LOI level for the funds they get compared to gaa. Football does not have many friends in high places unlike others. Think Rovers have been hit and miss all season and am amazed how they are top. Big off season coming up, dont like the noise coming out from the club as regards funding and Bradleys future especially with Shelbourne and Derry going to really push on backed by major budgets.
