Where do you think Everton are heading from here ?

To be exacerbated by a 40% increase in CL money from 2024/25. I would imagine the Saudi’s/NUFC will target CL football by then, to gain that huge income source and stay within FFP/Sustainability rules.

What's Our Best Worst Result Ever?

Someone in this thread mentioned your best win too. So on that theme, a curve ball from me, I loved your Feb95 PL win over Manure at Goodison. Genuinely, I can still recall it now. They had all the money and internationals, loved by the media. The CM of Ebbrell, Parkinson and Horne, the...

ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

ManC will be there or thereabouts.

    2020/21 Carlo Ancelotti

You’ll be fine with Ancelotti, imho. The summer 2021 transfer window will be interesting. Will he move out more than just usual suspects eg Tosun regularly mentioned in your discussions. Holgate for example? [No pro LFC agenda, despite the accusations ..... I’m a Brighton season ticket...

    reality check

This. Moshiri’s investment in transfer fees is colossal, possibly only surpassed by ManC and ManU in recent seasons? He continued this in summer 2020, when many other clubs in the EPL and across the continent reined it in due to the financial crisis in football. Before CV19, he was bankrolling...

    2020/21 Richarlison

He seems almost unplayable in a run of games, then simply not at the races in another batch of games. You can almost tell from the first 5 minutes, which one it’s to be. His best performances seem to be running from deep at the opposing RB / right CB.

    2020/21 Carlo Ancelotti

Leeds play 10 outfield players on a mission to outrun and outfight opponents from start to finish, we saw it with their season opener. Opponents need to select a team with energy to equal theirs. Imho.

    Spurs

No Everton or ManU? You’ve got a chance, Moshiri might spend big again, in January. ManU’s £800m squad inevitably get a load of points, despite the limitations of Solskjaer.

    2019/20 Tom Davies

Will your team have a new CM come September, with Sigurdsson and Davies distant memories? With the spending power of your two owners, surely that’s achievable this summer.

    2019/20 Jordan Pickford

He has failings, but not on a par with £72m Kepa. A huge blunder by Chelsea.

    2019/20 Jordan Pickford

The 5live commentator thought similarly to you. He said Pickford’s his own biggest critic, this (the tongue out and laughing) would’ve been his instinctive reaction to that knowing he’d blundered. Cross with himself.

    2019/20 Gylfi Sigurdsson

    Not a stereotypical Viking.

    2019/20 Jordan Pickford

Gary Neville saying what any football fan can see. That’s a basic for any goalie in the history of the game. You can bet that Duncan F, Dave Watson, Mountfield received those balls from your past keepers ... meat and drink.

    2019/20 Jordan Pickford

You seem very hard to breakdown, both LFC and Spurs facing a narrow and deep block of 8 in front of Pickford, it took a deflection for the latter to score the winner. But, at a cost perhaps of not enough numbers in attack supporting DCL and Richarlison? Can’t have footballing cake and have it...

    2019/20 Gylfi Sigurdsson

Perhaps loaning him out and unfortunately having to subsidise a large chunk of his huge wages? That’s how these situations often seem to play out. But freeing a squad place for a far better ACM with pace, to come in.

    2019/20 Jordan Pickford

Whenever Pickford gets criticised down these parts, they’re invariably shut down with “Pickford’s been immense for England, end of discussion”. Under CA your defence has been strong. Is that more to do with the dogged two banks of 4 protecting your goal for 90 minutes? Defensively you seem...

    2019/20 Jordan Pickford

With midfield and creativity your priority, will CA really want to spend money on a quality replacement for Pickford this summer?

    2019/20 Carlo Ancelotti

Tim Cahill echoes, echoes your thoughts above. Saying something on the lines of many £100m’s spent pre-Anchelotti, CA is having to work within the constraints of that. A not so subtle dig at the tools at his disposal.
