Blimey yes, that does look like Alan Whittle on the car right, minus the crazy blonde mop though.

Not exactly an old pic, but ... Was looking at Google reviews of eateries ans ended up at this pic, from March 2019 at the chinese by the old Speke airport. Must have been an old boys outing. Can we name them all? I'll start with George Telfer on the far left.

It certainly is a minefield. Professionally I'm involved in web publishing and although the rules are fairly clear they're not widely recognised or followed. On a course a few years back about intellectual property the tutor stressed that virtually every image is owned by someone and, unless...

I know where you're coming from Joey mate, I do. And great picture threads like this one thrive and survive on reposting things from the internet, Twitter accounts, or which we scan in ourselves from old books and mags as you say. So I'd never diss the forum in general for that. But people do...

Sorry bud, but gotta ask you to take this image off. It's a patch-up/scan from my web site everton100.com. Reasons just the same as when I had to ask another poster in this thread a while back. Don't want to be a spoilsport but have been burnt in the past. Cheers.

I thought that at first - it does look like HN - but he wasn't playing that day. And Lyons was playing up front alongside Latchford. Pretty sure it's big Mick.

Feb 1975 and Jim Pearson has just scored a late winner against Spurs, to keep the Blues top of the table. Mick Lyons and George Telfer celebrate.

Wow, never seen that before! I make that Lyons, Lawson, TD, (not sure of one to right of their keeper), then Dobbo and Micky Bernard at the back(?)

Love that picture. That was the event at Goodison in 1978 to launch the 'Official Everton Centenary' book. Also there, on other pics that night: Westie and Ted Sagar. Legends like that in the one room. Amazing.

The game at St. Andrews in May 77 was a classic case: Latch scored past his brother Dave. Howard Kendall scored for Birmingham. Then Big Bob got sent off. John Connolly was playing for them too - first time he'd faced Everton since leaving at the start of the season.

Anyone else go to the 'victory' parade the next morning? I went to the last bit where the team were on the balcony outside Central Library and that was fairly sparse (a couple of thousand, tops), but remember hearing the open-top bus driver really put his foot down on some parts of the route...

When it rained cushions at the end of the game against Ipswich in '79 a certain Mr. Latchford lobbed one of them right back into the Main Stand. Cracking throw it was too. Said the fans were 'quick to forget'.

Thanks pal. It was a labour of love putting it together but brought lots of great memories back. Some cr@p ones too though!

No worries mate. :-) You could do me one small favour though and take the image off that post a few pages back. It tends to happen that someone else will take the image off a board like this, then before you know it it's all over the place - usually someone erases the name tag too (have had that...

It's the name of my web site, www.everton100.com which alanbileysfeathercut has taken the image from. I was forced to put the label on all my scans recently because of a small number of people copying and posting them elsewhere without any acknowledgement and in some cases lapping up praise for...
