Harrison very much fills the boring Dyche winger mould but given our depth on the wings that’s very much needed. Gnonto’s the one who gets you off your seat though - and that’s something we’ve missed for years.

Seem to recall that we only signed Maupay only after losing out on other targets. Let’s hope they’ve actually got a decent backup plan this time.

Really do feel for Dyche. Incompetent board has killed him here. If he keeps us up he deserved a statue outside of BMD.

Relegation

Gallagher. Good footballer. Can play as a 10 or in the midfield two. Really good at pressing and suits Dyche quite nicely. BUT… 40million is crazy, and a massive misallocation of finite resources. Strikers, wingers and a left back is the absolute priority. Our CMs are good enough.

Joao Pedro would probably be close to the full Gordon fee but he’s a fantastic footballer - would be worth it imo. Second striker who can do it all.

Fundamentally it comes down to risk vs reward. By getting Dyche we’re minimising the number of factors at play - and therefore minimising the risk. Bielsa probably has the highest ceiling, but it’s absolutely plausible that we don’t win again with his kamikaze tactics being bedded in. That...

His issue was that he absolutely didn’t know how to set up a 442 though! Dyche’s Burnley were really effective at pressing - quality let them down in the end - FSW didn’t get us to press at all most of the time.

Based on the position we’re in and the players we have available. IMO our squad suits a 442 and Dyche knows how to set up a 442. He’s also already based in the north west and knows some of our players well.

Dyche is most likely to keep us up imo.
