    Concerned

It's starting to feel a mite complacent to me - I don't see how late business either brings down prices or allows players to settle in. Confusing and a bit worrying, yes. Right now it's like the non-spending version of the summer where Walsh, Koeman and BK all had their own - evidently very...

    2024/25 Harrison Armstrong

I feel I've joined this thread to late. Wanted to say I hope it's a breakout season for this lad.

I think Souček offers what Fellaini did. Helpful both ends of the pitch, but Soucek's 30 now and has a lot of miles in those legs already. 1-2 seasons tops.

This. On the one hand, Moyes mostly has done more better than bad business at Everton, overall: Lescott, Stones, Baines, Jags, Fellaini and others ( Distin, Grav, Pienaar, etc ). Obvs a few disappointments too. Solid, good attitudes, mostly defensive players. So it's a relief we at least...

    2024/25 Youssef Chermiti

He's EFC, which means I want him to do well for us. He's scarcely played though, so we've a problem. Stick or twist. Look at him pre season.. why? Is he gonna play often if Beto/ Barry fit? So then he's cover... For who/ where ... having only played 4hrs in two years? Ship him out, if he's...

    2024/25 Jack Harrison

Utility right sided player who's mostly 5 or 6/10 at anything with occasional good crosses that are 8/9. Loan, max. He lacks a wee bit of pace / physicality but the latter he can work on, and maybe he's someone we use for an hour or the last 30. Effort / attitude solid.

Realistic Target for the 2025-26 season

Spuds and Utd will be stronger, and the top 7-8 won't be weaker, but do have Europe games to knacker them out nicely. Best of the rest and a cup run will do me. But... say Barry hits the ground running, or Dwight / ndiaye / Beto have a purple patch. Who knows where a run + a few gritty Moyes...

Agree, I was talking about the gaps, really. The 2030 deal on JB is a green light for a 80m next season or whenever... We've also wrapped up existing midfield 35yr old gueye til 2027. Ripping up trees this window.

    Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

We need a RB (who can get forward), CB (cover for JoB and Tarks), a CF, 2 x CM. Ideally right winger, too. That's 6 players, mostly who'll be first choice if decent, with approx 5 weeks to prep for an away game in front of Leeds who'll be bang up for it. Crack on TFG and Davey boy, crack on...

Yeah keep Garner and McNeil. Effort and attitude good. Both young-ish on an upward curve.

    2024/25 Michael Vincent Keane

Is it over yet? Good luck Michael. Not your fault someone thought you were a £30m centre half when that was proper dough. Hope you carry on banging in a few anywhere but against Everton :)

    2024/25 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Yeah, that about nails it. I think DCL and for example - Michael Keane - embody a period in Everton's time when maybe not the 'best' players also took on a lot of responsibility in a side / club undergoing major flux, mismanagement under grim ownership. Both lads had some OK spells and moments...

    Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

I agree with this when I look at the over financed disgrace that is MUFC. BUT... Strangely the absolutely disgraceful mediocrity of well moneyed clubs like them, Spurs, City last year is not everything, and conversely creates the opportunity others need. The way Brighton, Brentford ( who I...

    2024/25 Michael Vincent Keane

I hope so, they'll do ok... Both CB's got a goal in em and all those guys at some point scrambled Everton over the line, when the writing was on the wall after higher spending mgt and higher paid players.

    2024/25 Michael Vincent Keane

I like to think I give anyone who turns out for us a fair go. Especially in this era where they've played for a side almost constantly under pressure and often under mgt / squad flux, and with some absolute triple hangers on knocking around training sessions. Like DCL, I think that's been...

Great post. Quansah and JB different players. I don't think anyone's doing that kinda dough for those two Reds, though. Maybe 40 and 60 tops (not that we even care!). Jarrad needs to stay put, great couple of seasons, see us solid top half/ europa and if then it's more obvious to everyone...

    Transfer Rumour Kyle Walker

Uhh, I just dislike the guy. His head's not right. I don't recall him putting a great cross in for ages, he was clearly goal shy at the Euros where Spain repeatedly pulled him out of position for both winners. He's not top drawer now. Time's caught up with him. Italian league slower, would...
