Match Thread Leicester City v Everton, KO 17.30 7th May 2016

Disinterested, lackluster - it really does look at this point like the team has quit on Roberto. Nice goal by Kev to prevent the shut out. Congrats to Leicester. It's nice to see the Manc/Chelsea Prem title monopoly broken.

    Romelu Lukaku

Rom's first goal was a master class in domination. Shove defenders aside, back them off with Jedi footwork then lethally net it so it's official.

    Aaron Lennon

Everton's most dangerous player right now.

    Everton. I hate you.

If it means keeping the trophy out of North London, I am all for this.

Match Thread Everton v West Ham. 5th March at 1500.

3 goals in 12' is truly a train wreck of historic proportions. And while Everton seem to have perfected this brand of rapid decompression it isn't exclusive to Merseyside. With world class striker talent now peppered liberally throughout the league, a 2-nil lead isn't what it used to be. Payet...

    Gerard Deulofeu

A dark day indeed when John "the Alsatian" Terry (h/t @chicoazul) scores on your club in the 98'. BUT...will long remember the look on Del's face as he was sizing up his cross to Funes Mori. Looked like he was thinking "this ball is already in the net, so just stand there and take it you...

Norwich City v Everton. 12th Dec at 1245.

Bournemouth, Crystal Palace, Norwich. I'm all for parity in the Prem but can we be a little less generous with our draws? Good to see Baines get a hold of one even it did plunk off the post. And Del, you have sublime talent mate but can you dial down the drama queen theatrics?

Correct and I felt the same way. Tremendous upside.

    Ross Barkley

Lulled them to sleep! It almost looked like Ross and Rom were having a laugh at that point. One-sided matches don't come along that often so why not.

    Ross Barkley

    Think it was Rom.

    Gerard Deulofeu

Del's feed to Rom on his breakaway goal was sublime, curling around the defender and catching Rom mid-stride. It's a pass that Ross could improve on, he left several short today.

Their late sub Watmore certainly made John look bad on several occasions.

I should have known a clip this spectacular was already posted! Thanks for catching. Mods - this vid has already been linked in a different thread.

The world of Greek football is a weird and wonderful place.

Really surprised at the lackluster effort today although events surrounding the match may have had an impact. Tim was a liability, especially that last goal...oof. Could rightly do with a win next week. Here in the States, we get a pretty near constant stream of Arsenal hype, probably more so...

    MOTM v RS

Rom +1 for the equalizer, a case study in composure (letting the deflection settle) and world-class striker skills (no easy task to generate that much power and accuracy while stationary/flat-footed). A big thank you to Can and Skrtel for the assist.

Match Thread Everton vs Liverpool, Goodison Park, Oct 4th, 2015

Think Sakho was holding Rom's arm while he was fighting for position in the RS box. Rom took exception and gave him a light shove in the back and then they went nose-to-nose. All this after Sakho was having a go at Ross earlier in the game.

Top marks for that pic of Jags' goal alone! BTW, doesn't a young Stevie G. make you want to kick his favorite football into a patch of poison ivy? Sturridge is finding his form. Sit on this dude from the first whistle. Rough him up, knock him down, dirty his uniform. Do not let him get into the...

Match Thread West Brom vs Everton. Mon, 28 Sep, 20:00 The Hawthorns, West Bromwich

What did you think of the Hawthornes and the West Brom fans? I met a few that were vacationing in the States one summer - they were a friendly lot.
