New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

They are probably testing procedures for fan plaza concerts etc when ticket and security checks will have to be done at the wall gates. I imagine there will be no checks at the wall for games once the stadium's open.

Semi final tickets - where are you sitting?

What's the deal with this? How much does it set you back for a ticket for the semi?

Very true. I'd be cycling as well and Bristol seems to be built solely upon hills.

Just browsing this thread, would be up for gegging in on your matchday pub meets, if they'll be happening next season? Might ask you's for a bit of advice when I find somewhere I'm thinking of renting. Is Easton a no-go, or not too bad?

    Glastonbury 2015

Definitely going to give it a listen. Top class cynicism lads. I would imagine her anti-consumerism leanings don't stretch as far as literally not buying anything. Don't know if you saw her set, but it's probably on iplayer, and is worth a watch. And as regards 200 odd quid a ticket, if music...

Just been watching that. She was incredible. Only heard a couple of her songs on the radio before, but live she is something else. The anti-consumerism rant was particularly boss.

Just do it mate, jib the meat off. The feeling of superiority you gain is heart-warming.

I think Morrissey, as always, provides a balanced and thoughtful critique of meat eating. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/people/news/morrissey-i-see-no-difference-between-eating-animals-and-paedophilia-9037818.html "I see no difference between eating animals and paedophilia. They are both...

    Vegetarianism

It was a joke, mediocre at best admittedly. I suppose alluding to how people distance themselves and their minds from thinking how meat gets to their plate so they can still eat it.

Meat licenses, that's what I say. You are only issued with one if you have visited an abattoir. To obtain foie gras or veal, an enhanced license is granted if you can squeeze an animal of your choosing to death.

    Vegetarianism

This. If people can watch slaughterhouse videos of how their meat is made, and not think it's dead grim and shouldn't happen, fair enough, but they're probably psychos. And eating meat at the level we do is clearly unsustainable as the population grows, plus the farming process contributes...

    Vegetarianism

Went from eating meat 2/3 times a day to pescatarianism about a year ago. It's easier than you think, bacon sandwiches with a hangover being the hardest thing to forgo. Anyone who still eats meat knowing how it is produced is of course utter scum.

    2015 post UK election discussion

I can see your point, but I can't see that Cameron would be happy to be left out. He was, because he is isolated in Europe. He could be winning quite a stunning election victory, whilst leaving a legacy in a few years of having played a clumsy part in the break-up of the UK, and us leaving the...

    2015 post UK election discussion

You're right. Negative headlines in Le Monde and Der Spiegel greet Cameron's re-election. I don't think he commands any respect in Europe, and rightly so as he has shown no leadership on the UK's behalf, acting purely in narrow party interests, and was tellingly left out of discussions between...
