Manchester City V Villa match thread.

This will be the biggest bottle job since yesterday if we don't win this from here on in. Aguero is a blow, but as long as Silva starts then we'll control most of the game, just need to have our shooting boots on.

    If anyone should feel cheated....

I thought Barkley was sensational. If he can get some consistency he'll be up there with the best - it's in his hands really.

    If anyone should feel cheated....

Dzeko usually needs 5 or 6 in games too, Aguero is just a freak of nature. He's the all time leading PL scorer for goals per minute, it's an unfair comparison for any man.

Well that was nerve wracking - there is no doubt in my mind if you were really up for it today you would have got the 3 points, every time you pushed forward you looked capable of scoring. Barkley was the best player on the pitch in my opinion.

Generally not happy at the team selection in the City camp. Garcia and Yaya is a disaster waiting to happen in a 4-4-2 from a defensive perspective. Neither really have the energy to cover the middle of the park against a midfield 3. Silva on the bench is understandable but I'd sooner see...

Quite decent that one lol, here is the one that'll probably get an airing if he scores, in response to United's version of this is how it feels to be City, this is how it feels to be small: This is how it feels to be City, this is how it feels to be small, you sign Phil Jones and we sign Kun...

Benfica v Sevilla I wouldn't say you're below Sevilla's level - it's all luck of the draw. Benfica would give this league a good run for it's money.

Have you gone Half time result there? or Both teams to score AND win. United 13/8 to beat Sunderland at home? Chelsea 9/4 to beat Norwich at home? They look very wrong to me.

Birmingham and Brighton games are fantastic, both a goal away from staying up/play-offs as it stands.

Missed this one, spurs down to 10, and 1-0 down. They have been awful to watch this year - and how's this for a stat, they have failed to score a goal in the first 20 mins of any league game this season.

Liverpool do score plenty, but they're chasing another team who score a few themselves. For it to come to GD City have to win their next 3 anyway, which makes it a minimum of 11 to catch up which is tough. If they do happen to put any kind of silly number on the board against Palace though, I'd...

Everton could crown Liverpool as champions

Would that change the general opinion around the ground, do you think?

Everton could crown Liverpool as champions

That's completely irrelevant, since the point you're making is about the fans - you're calling people bitter here before a ball has even been kicked.

What's your actual injury list for the game? I've heard numerous contrasting tales.

Everton could crown Liverpool as champions

Slightly off topic, but by far my biggest gripe with Liverpool fans this season has been how they view themselves as the shining example of how to grow your club organically. They are not the benchmark. In the PL era, City have spent £806m, Chelsea have spent £951m, and Liverpool have spent...

Everton could crown Liverpool as champions

It's all relative though, isn't it (5th or 6th is a very different proposition than 4th or 5th) - rivalry is part of the game, and bragging rights is as much part and parcel of it as supporting your team at the games. What would be the point in United having a nightmare of a season if I couldn't...
