    2022/23 Dele Alli

Think it’s dead simple to be honest, his body can’t let him play his natural game any more. It hasn’t been able to for years. I’m sure there’s a quote from when he was 22 saying he couldn’t trust his body any more after the injuries. There may be a little bit of ‘falling out of love with the...

    New Everton Manager

Going to be honest one of the biggest things for me in hiring this manager is a manager who has passion and to keep the crowd onside. I’ve been there for the last 14 years and I’ve never seen it as toxic as it was under Silva near the end, maybe the Martinez West Brom game. We need a maniac...

Onguene would be very interesting, remember noticing him when watching Salzburg in the champions league (purely to see what the hype around Haaland was all about) and he definitely stood out as a bit of a beast. Looked clumsy on the ball though.

He did indeed catch him up, that extra half a yard of pace when he saw the danger is magnificent, fair [Poor language removed] play.

Has anyone got the footage of that saving tackle on Moura? Can’t tell whether he had a lead on him or he caught him up, either way it was impressive pace which I hadn’t expected.

    2019/20 Jean-Philippe Gbamin

Exactly the same as what I was told, he’ll play again but might not ever be the same. The worst part being the ROM and the mechanics of the whole situation. It can lead to muscular imbalances, over compensation and a lack of confidence in the areas concerned.

That’s it, it’s a debilitating injury, one of the worst you can get as a sportsman. It’s not usually associated with football but it doesn’t seem like a good one to get whatsoever. Can’t think of many worse you can get mechanically speaking.

No a friend of mine is a professional sports physician, dealt with all kinds of injuries. We talked a fair bit about JPG when it first happened (before the second surgery). Consensus is that quad tendon rupture doesn’t usually get back to 100%, it’s the range of motion and also subsequent...

Looked far worse than it was. Didn’t do any lasting tendon/ligament damage and was a pretty clean break. JPG’s injury is usually associated with overuse or age (often over 40s, over 60s regularly get it when playing sports). It’s not usually an injury you’d expect from a footballer. There’s...

Name a worse injury an Everton player has had in the last twenty years?

Tbf there’s some freak injuries there. Can go further back and Jagielka/Arteta/Yakubu are examples of players who came back from bad injuries. This one doesn’t seem good though it’s incredibly rare in footballers (more a basketball injury). It’s from overload as well so it’s entirely our fitness...
