New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

I can see some of the land near the stadium has been earmarked for housing. That’s fine, but it shouldn’t be used as an excuse by the council to limit the number of events that the stadium can host. The stadium is the first major development in the area, and as the council say themselves...

    Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Listening to a View from the Bullens and they we’re considering whether we would take James McAtee on loan, with an option to buy. Just can’t see how that makes sense, given he has 12 months less on his contract.

    Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

I just don’t think City are in a strong position on this. He is off this summer, everyone knows that. City would be stupid not to cash in now. With 12 months left on his contract, it’s completely up to McAtee regarding who he signs for. There’s no need for him to be pushed into a move that he...

    Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

McAtee has 12 months left on his contract. There is absolutely no way we should be entertaining a buy back option for City. If he did well, they would just exercise it and look to sell him on for a bigger profit. They have an asset who will be worth nothing in 12 months, who can talk to suitors...

New Everton Owners: The Friedkin Group

Not trying to be a misery guts, but it really isn’t that inconceivable. 6 English teams in the Champions League next season. Nearly half the premier league is in Europe next season. It’s an issue they need to look into. If either us or Roma were denied entry into a European competition on the...

New Everton Owners: The Friedkin Group

See Palace are in talks with UEFA about playing in the Europa League next season. Apparently there’s an issue with Textor owning 40% of Palace and owning Lyon. Does that point to a potential problem for next season if we make Europe?

    2024/25 Jarrad Branthwaite

Take your point but disagree mate. What’s the point of our shiny new iconic stadium? To bumble along in mid-table, knowing “our place”? I hope our new owners don’t see it that way. As they apparently wanted us before Roma, hopefully they don’t. Are Villa not our rival? I’m guessing maybe not...

    2024/25 Jarrad Branthwaite

In football, everyone is a selling club bar Real Madrid sadly. That said, I wouldn’t be selling our prized asset to Spurs. Moving into our shiny new stadium, I see them as a rival. In terms of history, they aren’t all that, but have had the revenues and financial backing, despite their...

New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Dan Meis did an interview with a View from the Bullens back in March. He was asked about expanding the capacity. Regarding “safe standing” he didn’t seem too enthusiastic about this, as the concourse would remain the same size. The concourses are designed for 53,000 and if you bump up capacity...

Absolute corruption. Nothing wrong with Villa’s goal.

I’m not sure Forests that much more attractive. Yes they’ve made Europe, but will struggle next year with 2 games a week. Also, if they don’t make Champions League, they won’t be in that strong of a position for strengthening. Great for the fans, but not a game changer.

Bit surprised we offered Young reduced terms. He’s played fairly regularly and I would be surprised if his salary was that high. Would thought we would have just offered a 12 month extension.

    2024/25 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

I really can’t see what good was going to come out of posting this on the morning after the last men’s game at Goodison. I think Calvert Lewin knows that in terms of his career, it makes sense to stay at Everton. He’s not getting a better offer elsewhere. But it’s clear that his wife wants him...

New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

I don’t know why they need to have “stadium” at the end of it. I think Hill Dickinson Dock or Hill Dickinson Park would read better. Too many syllables with stadium. Keeping Dock in the name would be unique.

On the positives, they are a high end professional services firm. We were looking to move away from betting companies and the like and moving to something a bit more prestigious. Whilst not necessarily massive globally, they are a law firm that predominantly acts for businesses or high net...

In terms of Liverpool’s businesses, they are very established and...

That’s pretty underwhelming. They’re a decent regional law firm, do mid-level corporate work. But a long way of the magic circle. Not bad, but there’s no way I can see them giving us the funding we were hoping for. You would have hoped for a brand with genuine global reach, and massive...

ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

There’s something uniquely toxic about them as a fan base. Thierry Henry left Arsenal for Barcelona in 2007, and United lost Ronaldo to Real Madrid in 2009, and they are both considered legends by their respective clubs. We lost Kendall to Bilbao on 1987, because he wanted a change, and he’s...
