    James McCarthy

Of all the players we could have plundered from Wigan at the last minute, with a hint of desperation, I'm glad it was him. Yes £13m is a little bit over the top, but in my opinion it was worth paying a premium to try and guarantee this transition season isn't a write off

    Joel Robles

Bit of competition to keep Howard on his toes can only be a good thing, something he never really got off JM. I don't think we should be writing him off just yet though, obviously Robles is a decent young signing but there's a lot to be said for having an experienced head between the posts...

John Heitinga: Sell me now or I’ll walk for free

It's not his talent I'm having a go at, it's his attitude. But you're right, that wasn't helped by the way Moyes has handled his career

John Heitinga: Sell me now or I’ll walk for free

Vindictive, but fair if he can't be arsed. I have no problem with a **** player who tries to be better, but there's nothing worse than someone who can't be bothered putting the effort in because he's been starting from the bench. It's his performances/attitude that put him there

John Heitinga: Sell me now or I’ll walk for free

Agreed, who's going to buy him for more on the form he's on. No denying he's a quality player when he wants to be, but they may as well just wait for his contract to expire

John Heitinga: Sell me now or I’ll walk for free

Better to sell him now if we can, even if it's only for a couple of mil. No point keeping him on to bleed us dry for wages for another 12 months before going on a free, especially when he clearly doesn't want to be here

Roberto Martinez Shenanigans: All Reaction Here

That'll be 17th then, but I do agree with the general sentiment. Key is to get behind the new manager whoever he is, no point turning into that lot down at Stamford Bridge

What are your expectations for next season?

Martinez (should he get the top job), or whoever else comes in, will need time to settle in and get the squad organised the way he wants it, so not expecting too much for the next couple of seasons. No need for knee-jerk reactions though, think back to Moyes' second season...

    New Everton Crest Confirmed

Having spoken to a couple of mates that support Arsenal apparently they hated the "cartoony" redesign of their badge at first, and only got used to it because the board refused to do anything. At least our lot have realised that we're not happy and decided to do something about it... Admittedly...

Should Moyes be in charge for the last two games?

Let Round take over for the last couple of matches, having Moyes on the touchline will only screw up our lads' mentality and it's be a good test to see if he could take the role permanently

    Leroy Fer

The Twente forum seems pretty complimentary about us, "a team that can beat anyone at home, even Man Utd and Chelsea" was a personal highlight! Seems like they're saying that it's the next logical step for him, but they're not happy about letting him go

    Leroy Fer

Brief youtube research makes me cautiously optimistic about this lad, but if he works out it'll probably means Felli's off in the summer

The curious case of dropping pts to lower half teams yet kopies/spurs win?

I think we need to lose the conservative mentality when playing against teams we should expect 3 points from. Obviously Mirallas couldn't start last night, but we looked so much more promising with him on the pitch and two up front. Sure we can play 1 up front against the likes of united, but...

What is an Everton Legend ?

I will never forget seeing big dunc head home against united, and as I'm not old enough to have ever see us win a trophy you've got to hold onto to moments like that, so to me he'll always be a legend, but I think there's a difference between personal legends and club legends. The same can be...
