HEY EVERYONE, LOOK HOW CONTROVERSIAL MY THREAD IS

This thread is way overjew if you asked me. Real men talk about real issues, which are sometimes a bit contreversial. I have no time for them unicorn-mermaidy type threads, complete and utter waste of me valuable time.

    HOW FAR IS TOO FAR?

Norman Finkelstein, a Jewish scholar who has taught political science at City University, says in his book, 'The Holocaust Industry,' that "invoking The Holocaust" is "a ploy to delegitimize all criticism of Jews." I agree with him,100%. One cannot even criticize jews/israel anymore out of fear...

    HOW FAR IS TOO FAR?

I was once taken to task for making this statement on me Facebook account: ''Non-Jewish suffering simply does not merit comparable attention. Overshadowed in the focus on Jewish victimization are, for example, the tens of millions of victims of America's World War II ally, Stalinist Russia...

    HOW FAR IS TOO FAR?

Sorry for yet another thread but i just had to ask this. I always keep tabs on news back so you can imagine me shock when I came across a cartoon (on one of SA's online publications) depicting the president of that country as a penis!!! This also reminded of a comment that was made by a...

    MULTICULTURISM

i'm asking this bcos i have a mate that lives in Dubai and apparently, the locals are vastly outnumbered by foreign nationals. So you can imagine the dillema the lad has. A westerner living in a Muslim nation whose population mainly consists of foreign nationals. It's a bit of a balancing act.

    CULTURE SHOCK

Fair Play, bad choice of words. What I meant was I grew up under Apartheid and most people from me generation are unfortunately incredibly apathetic. The first dead body I saw was that of me uncle (from the black side of me family) who was beaten to death by apartheid security police, mind you i...

    CULTURE SHOCK

If u honestly believe everything that you read about South Africa(or africa in general) then you are no different from a 1905 European who used to believe the media portrayal of Africans as sub-human cannibals.

    CULTURE SHOCK

Yeah, the Panaroma documentary about the Euros gave great insight to those who don't know much about Ukraine/Poland didn't it? Mate, cthe British media was disgraceful in their coverage of South Africa during the build to the 2010 World Cup. Urging fans to buy stab proof vests and bring their...

    CULTURE SHOCK

You mssing the point mate. Someone that grew up in a violent society is bound to get dissensitized. So that's why I was surprised by how Brits,in contrast to Saffers, are sensitive (which is a good thing btw). Anyway let's not make this about me. I wanna know about your experiences abroad.

    CULTURE SHOCK

Ever experienced it while abroad? Well,as an expat,I was shocked at how politically correct British society is. One other thing that shocked me was how sensitive most Brits are. That's in stark contrast to South Africans who tend to have a callous indifference to others' suffering. News...

    FOOD FOR THOUGHT

Rugby: The 2 most recent winners (South Africa and NZ) have won in twice and always wipe the floor with England in test matches. Cricket: If it weren't for me countrymen - KP,Strauss,Trott,Kieswetter and Prior, England wouldn't even be in the top 3 lol.... On a serious note though,rankings...
