    My Mum worked with him at Radio Merseyside. Years ago when I came back from Australia to visit he arranged a tour of Goodison and me and my missus got to meet big Dunc (who was, somewhat surprisingly, injured at the time). Anyway I appreciated the gesture and he is definitely a top fella.

    What is the best pub to go to before Goodison?

    I'd suggest the Ship & Mitre at the bottom of Dale Street in town mate. Loads of good ale (including Little Creatures!) and only £6 in a taxi to Goodison. Start there for a few and then get a taxi up to the ground to soak up the atmosphere.
