Match Ticket Thread - Spares/Requests - FACE VALUE OR LESS ONLY!

On the offchance there may be some West Yorkshire folk reading, I have an inconveniently late spare for tomorrow (Lower G) that I would be happy to GIFT in return for a lift. Other cool trades considered :) Based in Keighley 07862 175114. Be glad of the blue company, tbh.

I know they're readily available but I've got a spare ticket for the Valencia game and would welcome the company if someone wants it. My mate can't make the game. I'm coming over from Keighley, West Yorkshire.

    Trying to give up smoking

DAY 1: My first 24 hours as a non-smoker are over. On the whole it hasn't been as bad as I thought. Did 'big shop' this evening and bought a box of patches and some gum (bullplop nicotine replacement it may be but I sense there are going to be times that are harder than today has been and I...

    Trying to give up smoking

This sounds like a great idea. I live with/care for my disabled aunt, so I can go dust her numerous ornaments or some such.

    Trying to give up smoking

I also work from home half the week so identify with all of that. I always (used to) go outside - haven't smoked in the house for years whatever the weather. Like you say, the habit is the thing. But habits can change my friend. To healthier ones. See you on the e-deck, dawg.

    Trying to give up smoking

Can't see me starting going to the gym at my age - can imagine it working for someone younger or with mates who go (I don't think I know anyone who does). I'd find it intimidating just to pole up. Interesting also that you can be an occasional binge smoker but not touch em the rest of the time -...

Cool. Virtual cigarette-free hands across the ocean johnnydawg. As you say health and money are two pretty major considerations. Go for it, man.

    Trying to give up smoking

Wise words Blue, mate. Because I have no idea what will work for me, I'm casting my net pretty wide, keeping an open mind. But I do believe that. Atm I've got so many things on the go I haven't got time for a cig :-)

    Trying to give up smoking

Bear in mind I'm in my mid-50s and hardly done anything but walking for the last ten years (I'm ashamed to say). Maybe I could start in the middle of the night to minimise embarrassment. Cheers mate.

    Trying to give up smoking

Easy Way To Stop Smoking you mean? Thanks for the recommendation - just easily found a pdf download of that. I hear what you are saying about the replacement industry - although some folks further up the thread found it was the only thing that worked for them.

    Trying to give up smoking

It is a good bunch. I'm a long time lurker (or 'legitimate peripheral participant' as my mate would say), only occasional poster. There are some folks who used to put me off, but they seem to have set up elsewhere for which I heave a sigh of relief. Not saying they aren't top blues but I felt...
