How many times have you seen Everton live?

Just counted my programmes and removed the ones that I know other people got for me. On that basis I reckon about 300. Having been based near London most of my life and in darkest Somerset for the last 15 years a lot of those games were away. Only about 40 at Goodison.

    Upper gwladys stretcher?

My old dad was a Gooner - he couldn't help it, growing up in Poland in the 1930s they were the only English team he heard about. He had Alzheimer's in the last few years and the only time he became the dad I knew was when he watched Arsenal on MOTD. He kicked every ball and knew the names of...

Lobby the club to pay the living wage

Why should I take a cut in my income to fund a bunch of ne'er do wells? If people want to earn more they should go & get a better job or make themselves more valuable to their employers!

Lobby the club to pay the living wage

Yes, in a free market economy the minimum wage is wrong.

    Goodison Granites - What's happening?

Personally I don't give a schist though it would be gneiss if they got it sorted!

Everton making 5 staff redundant from the Everton Megastore story in the Echo

I've had to do the same numerous times. It's the worst thing about running businesses but sometimes has to be done to secure the futures of the other staff. Better to lose a few staff than close the business.

Everton tried to bring back Jack Rodwell on deadline day

Full article from The Times Jack Rodwell’s future at Manchester City has been thrown into doubt after it emerged that Manuel Pellegrini was ready to allow the England midfielder to return to Everton on loan, only for the proposed deal to be scrapped after City failed in their attempt to sign...

    Hi from Chełm, Poland

Hello Maciek, welcome to Toffeeweb. My late father was Polish. As a boy in World War II he saw his father shot by the Russians who then took him to a work camp in Siberia. He escaped & joined the British army in Persia (now Iran). When the war ended he chose to come to the UK rather than return...

    Cover Letter

You say you're OK with the CV. I'm an employer & I see lots of CVs that have spelling and/or grammatical errors, are poorly laid out or don't focus on the role being applied for. They go straight in the bin so just check again that your CV is as good as it can be. Some recruiters use software to...

    James Vaughan

I met James fairly recently when I took a client to see his beloved Huddersfield Town. James is still a fanatical Everton fan & gets to matches as often as he can. He's a genuinely down to earth young man who knows how lucky he is to play football for a living.

Looking for a half-board hotel in the north west

The Waddinton Inn at Waddinton near Clitheroe. Staff are friendly, food is great & beds/rooms comfortable. Great walks in the Ribble Valley. I was there four nights a week for nine months recently working with a local company. Absolutely recommended.
