An American’s Introductory Guide to Supporting Everton

Nice thread! Keep spreading the word.

    Silly Season January 2014

I wish we could get another player or two in NOW. Between Wednesday and the FA Cup opener on Jan. 4, we have eight matches in 31 days.

    Crystal Palace v Everton. 9th November @ 15.00.

    Is Lukaku definitely playing?

Everton v Newcastle - American TV Coverage help

Any bar will have NBC Sports Network so you should be fine there. It's a shame about the League Cup matches. Not sure when the rights are up again, but it'd be nice to see NBC get that away from Bien.

    Fantastic news

    Lukaku

Lukaku definitely sounds off if he's on his way to West Brom's training facility. I was really excited at the thought of seeing him in an Everton shirt.

    Fernando

McCarthy deal sounds like it is def off. Any chance Fernando could still be a possibility?

    Moyes Potential Replacement

Porto is home to Benfica on Saturday. Two back in the table with two games to play. Win on Saturday and Porto almost assuredly wins the league. Impressive considering the aforementioned losses of Falcao and Hulk since the summer of 2011.

Snowing heavy up in bolton !

Sky Sports News just reported that that match is "definitely" on but they are appealing to volunteers to come out early and help shovel.

    Everton, the Medium Sized Club

Is this true? EPL matches don't draw massive numbers over here (although growing by the year). ESPN shows a match most weeks, usually the early Saturday game (at the godforsaken start time of 4:45 a.m. here in the Pacific Time Zone) and Fox Soccer shows usually 3-4 matches per weekend. But...

That was just great play by everyone involved.

    Everton on TV in USA

A little disappointed FSC is showing Spurs-Norwich instead of Everton.

    Sir Landon Of Donovan

Just listened to the whole interview. He essentially said it was unlikely he'd go anywhere in the offseason. I'd say a permanant transfer falls outside of that category; moreso that he won't go on loan during the MLS offseason. We'll see.

These numbers aren't even close to what would actually be the terms of the deal. I'd agree with you under your hypothetical scenario, but that's not what realistically will be on the table.

    Evertonians In USA

Phoenix here. The Mexican leagues and La Liga seem to be bigger here than EPL compared to most big cities in the country. Watched Monday's game at a place called George and Dragon and there were a few Everton supporters there (the pub is owned by a die-hard United supporter).

If not for Kennedy, that would've been about a 7-0 Galaxy win. Hard to say a keeper had a great game in a 4-0 loss, but he made some fantastic saves.

    Sir Landon Of Donovan

Donovan has four assists and counting tonight for LA. He really needs to be an Everton player come January.

    Sir Landon Of Donovan

This summer or in January? I can't see any possible way MLS would just terminate his contract this summer for him to move in August. MLS is hardly known for making it easy for contracted players to move to Europe.
