^^^ I'm sure the first we knew about Moshiri was when it was announced. Just out of the blue. Let's hope it happens like that again. With the best owners we can, of course.

I suspect that won't happen now due to finances. I might be very wrong.

I know all that. I was talking in general terms. Hence, the "inverted commas" obviously.

Funny enough the fact that the land is worth so little might be the one thing that means there might be a chance that there continues to be a football presence at GP. I've said before but surely there is a way we could turn the pitch 90 degrees so the Park End is a touchline. Knock down the 3...

Most of the debt is the cost of the stadium. If there is such a thing as "good" debt, that's it. A mortgage leading to potential increased revenue. The rest is the money we wasted on players and managers. That is very "bad" debt.

Another way of looking at it is as dodging a bullet. Let's hope we end up with good owners. We deserve it.

Just my observation. Didn't realise this was a court of law. He made a superb block about 20 minutes in when it was still 0-0 and a Forest player was closing in on goal.

I agree. I think he had a good game. Nothing you can do about the ball hitting your hand. And they weren't given anyhow.

£30 million for the King's Dock. We should be ashamed of ourselves for not running Kenwright out of town with pitchforks 20 odd years ago.

Wouldn't it just be simpler for Moshiri to still own half the stadium, sell half and sell EFC?

God knows where the money has come from so far. We've even less of an idea where the money will come from to finish it. That said, £20 million a month seems an accurate figure, if you multiply it by the 36/40 months it'll take to build the stadium.

Wouldn't be ideal, would it? God forbid and hopefully it doesn't happen but let's remind ourselves that GP has hosted 2nd tier football in 2 separate periods.

"Semi circles behind the goals aggro" Bit of a 70's one there.

Great point. And another point worth making is similarly we support Everton FC and not Goodison Park. I've never once in my life chanted "Main Stand, cha-cha-cha"

When you say a name, do you mean a person or an organisation/company etc? British?

I think it will bring some in. Not in any huge numbers, though. The major uplift will be in ordinary supporters spending money on booze and food in a bigger, modern stadium with great facilities.

That's true to an extent, but regards the point of tourists fans who already visit GP or would go to the new place, here's my experience. The seat next to me is a season ticket holder's who's from the Home Counties. Only makes it to half the games (fair enough) and resells his seat the rest of...

Seriously, does anyone know if anything like this could happen? I'd at least love to see them pay back some of their ill gotten gains.
