    N H S

Thought I'd treat myself to a week's long stay in a local hospital. Some woke nonsense about it being quite important to breathe. Have simply got to say I was stunned by the incredible spirit and examples of simple kindness the staff showed to, sometimes difficult, patients. It restored my...

    Most Pleasing / Disappointing Results 2024 -2025

For me, the final day result at Newcastle pleased me probably more than it should have done. Endured eight miserable months in that neck of he woods with the horrible acccent and the false smiley bantery garbage. The fact that the club is also in bed with lgbt hating, ultra capitalist assholes...

It Was Fifty Years Ago Today

... that Moores and Catterick (pictured) sold Alan Ball (R I P) to the Arsenal. With that single decision, they cut out the beating heart of the club and started us on the path to mediocrity. (Well, we had 4 good years in the 80's, so ,mustn't grumble, eh?)

    Most Punchable Person in Britain

I'll nominate Chris Evans for his (a) face, (b) increasingly desperate search to be relevant and (c) his dress. Call me judgmental if you will but feel free to nominate your punchable figure.

    Old / New Memories

Just looked at a photo posted by @alan ball showing the old main stand. (Thanks to Alan and @Joey66 & others for keeping us aware of our history.) I can remember my first game back in'62 ... walked half the length of Scotty with my dad almost wetting myself with excitement. Getting into...

    Martin Peters

R I P Met him a couple of times and witnessed him chatting to 11 + 12 year old kids. Gentle, humble and polite. An absolute delight of a man. And not a bad footballer either!

    Apparently, I'm Someone Called

Frank. News to me. Don't like football very much and have no sense of humour. Think I've found the right site.
