    Everton January 2025 Transfer Thread

He is in a downward spiral since the summer. I feel sorry for the lad, he seems a very nice fellow, but his limited 'footballing IQ' doesn't match the requirements of the current manager in which positional awareness is key. This said, he has undeniable qualities: rather pacey (but not...

    Transfer Rumour Ernest Nuamah

Good luck to Ernest. Nothing bad to say about his character, but he has to seriously step up to be of any use to you.

    Everton Summer 2024 Transfer Thread

Of course, and nothing can be said against his commitment and work ethic. So, yes, there is room for improvement. Although, in all honesty, more than wrong decisions which can be improved, it's that he just doesn't seem a natural. So many times he would just panick when in front of the goal...

    Everton Summer 2024 Transfer Thread

In a way but it would have been much better tif Textor didn't lead the club to a transfer embargo in the first place. And additionally, it would be great that we stop paying silly money for such abysmal players.

    Everton Summer 2024 Transfer Thread

The stunt of Nuamah signing for Molenbeek just lied in the fact Textor failed to get a green light from the financial instances of tged French league and faced a transfer embargo. They just used Molenbeek to pay for Nuamah and loan him directly to Lyon who weren't allowed to buy him.

The short answer is: no. The boy is strong and rather pacey, it's hard to take the ball away from him... but you don't really have to bother with trying as he is more than likely to give it away in the most ludicrous fashion possible. He is a prime example of what is 'low footballing IQ'.

    Confirmed Signing Orel Mangala

A actual paper proving he is no longer an Olympique Lyonnais player, and that there is no cancelation period.

    Confirmed Signing Orel Mangala

I'm not so sure about it. Fulham had a €15m offer agreed, but the player doesn't want to go. I'm pretty sure he would be flogged for less than that (but with a good sell on fee). At least, that's what the supporters hope for.

You actually already got him. We don't have any good players left 😅

    Confirmed Signing Orel Mangala

We do wish that as well 😅 Dodgy as hell, from the beginning. He was brought last winter with a loan with an option to buy. The loan fee was very high which made it a transfer in disguise (due to limitations of the French football financial watchdog, Textor style). The option was activated in...

    John Textor

He didn't sell the grounds (Lyon being by the way the only French club owning its stadium) but the arena that the OL group had just finished building nearby. Many people here fear that the stadium will follow soon.

Textor sold the arena the club had just built next to the stadium here. Some of the club followers fear that he would also try to sell the stadium, especially to raise funds for buying new clubs...

Fwiw, one of the first things Textor did once he had full control over OL is to restructure the debt for the stadium. I don't know whether they tried to say he intends to do the same here or not.

Oh yes he does, and he does it well. This is probably his main asset. He is loved in Botafogo, and he made appearances at Lyon youth Academy which were highly praised by the followers (the Academy is very important here). He knows what he is doingwith the fanbase.

    John Textor

I sincerely hope for you that it won't happen. Textor is nothing mord than a chancer. A talented and sympathetic one, but a chancer. He turned our club (OL) into a proper circus when we used to be a very well run club. Since he took over, many subcontractors complained about the delays in the...
