Played indoor footy Sunday. Loud crack, fell to floor. Went to A+E this morning. Achilles has gone. Gutted. Got a massive boot on and blood thinners. Fracture clinic early next week. Really fed up as well mate, and this is just the start. Try stay positive.

On my oldest lads stag do in Prague. Played indoor five a side yesterday. Heard a pop and thought someone had smashed into my calf, fell on floor but nobody was near me. Not sure what I’ve done here but I’ve wrapped it bandage and been taking strong ibuprofen. Flight home in a few hours...

Went for a run earlier, felt a sharp pin prick on my arm, quickly brushed it off but didn’t see what it was. Assume a horsefly or wasp. Forearm has swelled right up and really itchy. Fantastic.

Bloke opposite my dad’s never cut his grass, called him Weedy. Fella with a big moustache, up the road was known as Billy Bevan, and there was Jim the Jug over the back, who’d once played the jug in a band.

Just back from eleven days in Majorca. Five mile runs along the beach at Cala Millor and Sa Coma on nine of the mornings. At least an hour racketball with my lad every day. Gym every other day. Hired bikes on three days and done loads of walking and swimming. Ate small amounts of food...

Seen them twice. First time at Wembley, with Eddie Vedder supporting. Not great. Then a couple of years ago at Sandringham with Ashcroft. They had orchestra with them and were brilliant.
