New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

I'm sure over it's history Goodison has been great. That was not the point in question though.I agree over its history Goodison has been a great home for Everton. We should however not be fearing moving stadium as for the past few years it has not. With of course the caveat that it is possible...

We are talking about results at home. Last season we got as many points away as at Goodison. I concede it is possible to get less points

Our past few seasons have been poor in respect of results. The safety blanket reference is surely in relation to the fear of short term anxiety of moving into a new stadium and a potential adverse effect on results. They can't get much worse !

Our recent record at Goodison is rubbish. Safety blanket...ok

To get substantially larger they would be involved in a merger/take over/be taken over. They would then decide what they would be called. Hill Dickinson Davis Campbell was a previous incarnation

8 I do as well. It is a completely different beast to Spurs stadium which is clearly a higher spec but our stadium feels like a proper football stadium which suits our fans base. We have to raise as much revenue to compete as possible and I'm sure our new owners won't be shy in that regard...

Final game at Goodison - confirmed Sunday 18 May, 12PM

You are thinking big in terms of entertainment. I was thinking of a Scot playing the bagpipes, which for no apparent reason was a thing several seasons back

The player missing in the 70s that might have changed us into a title/cup winning team was a top class goalkeeper

I don't think they expect the Upper south to stand. I think anyone in the Upper south who stands will be told to sit down

At the test events most of the fans went for a walk around the stadium so the concourses were packed. In time things will settle down and fans will stay at their seats or go to the nearest serving area. I don't think it will be a problem

There is a lot of exposed concrete around the stadium and once you notice it you can't unnotice it ! Hopefully it will be painted or covered in banners

This is enforced at other grounds...speaking as someone who has eaten sandwiches at the turnstiles at Man Citys ground prior to being let in. Kick off times hey

Can Everton still be considered a “big club”?

You , I and he would disagree. They may be "chatting wham" but that he says is how we are considered.

Can Everton still be considered a “big club”?

My brother who lives south of Bristol says that people down there would regard Everton as the same level as Southampton

    Goodison Statues

I think the forgotten argument is the clincher. Once we move a large percentage of the fanbase will never go to L4 again and as time passes increasingly so

    Goodison Statues

If Goodison is knocked down I would definitely move them. If as it seems the women's team are to play at Goodison there is more of a persuasive argument for them remaining
