    Farhad Moshiri

Lovely post. I know the blokes made bad decisions but it’s important to acknowledge the good things he’s done. Thanks for highlighting them. Embarrassingly I didn’t know Moshiri owned the Liver building. Love the line about the docks and city being blue again 👏👏👏

    2023/24 Jarrad Branthwaite

Putting our financial position aside it’s a bad move for Branthwaite. He’s the best talent I’ve seen for a long time at Everton. He’s rolls Royce and a better player than stones was at that age. He could end up stuck at man united preventing a bigger move but if he carries on improving he will...

Who's your money on in the takeover 'battle'? - poll reset 13th June

My preference would be a solid owner who runs us properly but with the right values. Someone who doesn’t go breaking all the rules and then throw lawyers in. I just want a solid 7th each year and a day out at Wembley 2-3 times every decade Occasionally qualify for a UEFA tournament. Not every...

    New Everton Stadium Discussion

Agreed. I don’t live in Liverpool and think I’m more likely to arrive early and leave later too with it being in the city.

Who's your money on in the takeover 'battle'? - poll reset 13th June

Pretty sure the accounts/points deduction would have been disclosable too which would have made investors really nervous. Everton is very investable once they’ve cleared the decks on over paid players and they increase revenues in the new stadium. Investors see a very bright light at the end of...

Who's your money on in the takeover 'battle'? - poll reset 13th June

This is bang on. The rich owner is required to pay to play but once at the wheel it’s really about very effective investment and management. It would also be good to have an owner that communicates well and is involved in the community but given how busy these business men are that’s probably...

    2023/24 Andre Gomes

What a brilliant and classy video. I often read disrespectful posts about players and this is a reminder that the majority of them really do care even if they don’t always perform like we or they would like. Important to be empathetic how difficult it is to be a professional football player I...

    2023/24 Jack Harrison

he always works hard which is the first quality required to play for Everton. I think he knows his decision making needs some work after seeing Villa qualify for Europe.

    VAR

If we’re talking about rules I’ve long felt that they are due an overhaul. For example, if a player is taking the ball away from goal to the corner flag and is tripped/dives/goes down easily should it be a penalty? Similarly if a player is clean through on goal and is tripped by the last man but...

    VAR

I have this opinion that the game should be the same whether you play in the PL or Sunday league. Weirdly always felt that VAR spoils the grass roots aspect for many reasons which I care a lot about. we shouldn’t look for perfect solutions in an imperfect world.

777 Partners / Whatever the hell you like

Agreed, plenty to be positive about too @davek. It’s all part of the journey. Much easier to moan though, despite the fact that there are plenty much much worse off. Forward we go.

777 Partners / Whatever the hell you like

I’ve felt for some time that it felt like a pyramid / ponzei scheme. To keep these things going you have to keep stacking the shelves by adding more to your portfolio. The lack of compliance in their reinsurance business suggests some corner cutting. I can’t see any other reason or value they...

    2023/24 Youssef Chermiti

His first touch last night where he span it into his own lane to run on to was 👌 One of our major problems has been that we haven’t been able to play young players due to the fears of relegation. I’d give him a start against Sheffield United alongside Beto. Harry Kane looked like he wasn’t...

    Everton Summer 2024 Transfer Thread

Assuming that the general consensus is that we’d like the footba to evolve under Dyche we will need a player to put his foot on the ball whilst also being physical as the matters a non negotiable for Everton and the manager. Barkley fits the profile and is available. He’s flourished at Luton...

Match Thread Luton Town v Everton - Chat, Match Report & MotM Poll

Agreed. Luton came flying out the blocks. Thought we were professional, kept the ball well and played our way into the game. Really tight pitch so McNeil needs to keep our width. One of those nights to keep it tight and take our chance when we get it,

    2023/24 Sean Dyche

I think if he left at the end of the season I’d feel very anxious about being relegated in our last season at Goodison. Fortunately I’m looking forward to next season and seeing what he can build on this years remarkable return. COYB

    Everton Summer 2024 Transfer Thread

I’d try and get Barkley. Principles can be expensive. I’d read he’s on £30k per week and signed a 1 year contract at Luton. He’s matured into an 8 so would play him in a 2 alongside either Gueye or Garner. McNeil inside to a 10 role as he would easily replicate Doucoures workrate whilst adding...
