Yes, premium describes it better - ultimately a financial instrument that reflects (and factors in) the fact that we can't pay now.

Without any evidence I'm pretty convinced Betos price effectively includes a loan with interest to us - if we'd have been able to pay up front I doubt he would have cost that. And the job Thelwell has had is not just identify a forward, but identify a financial plan that we can manage. Maupay...

Dyche has said how he cares about the players careers - probably a confidence booster.

    2023/24 Kevin Thelwell

Posters trying to beat him with the benefit of hindsight and ignoring our cash-flow / regulatory problems and the urgency of fixing a first team in relegation trouble. With Beto he was trying to get a senior first team striker to cover DCL - he was totally hamstrung by our cash-flow and FFP...

    John Textor

Understand the anxiety around it - but yeah, out of our control. In some ideal world it would be somebody with emotional ties to the region and the club - we kind of had that with Bill though and it wasn't enough - so we have to go to the global market to get somebody who can play the global...

Maybe that is Textors frustration and the reason he wants more control and an (arguably) bigger name.

    New Everton Stadium Discussion

Trying to get used to the idea of not having an obscured view - with those pillar blindspots where you have to temporarily remember where the players were as you track them along the pitch.

    John Textor

If John can stave off administration, stabilise the club for the new stadium and help us operate frugally in the transfer market - I'm all for it. Putin did for the previous 'business model'. It would be great to have City / Newcastle cash but if that isn't on the table we just need some...

Better that the club is seen to be a catch rather than all the misery for sure. It's still looking more like strategic international business ventures rather than wealthy individuals / funds.

    Everton Summer 2024 Transfer Thread

Suppose Dyche and Thelwell will just have to do their best in uncertainty on finances right now and assume they have almost nothing but the wages we are paying out now. Assume a season a bit like this one, try and keep the useful players - a bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush etc. Hoping...

If they are borrowing the money to buy us, that becomes more debt - on top of the debt the club already has to RMF, MSL etc. Restructuring debt doesn't make it go away - just perhaps you pay over a longer period of time to help your cashflow.

https://www.evertonfc.com/news/4025044/coleman-ready-to-make-call-on-everton-future Hoping a minimum of him, Tarks and Pickford stay - need some committed characters for the next season. Glad to see Gana is extended too.

Boggles my mind a bit but, once the stadium is paid for, is the club actually capable of making money in the PL with sensible decision-making ? Or are we expecting a new 'investor' to give away money to the club every month just to keep going. And is the end-game always going to be to try and...

Ah, the misery is back to feed my addiction. Lots of talks of haircuts - which usually means a 'little off the top' as a fee on a trade - so im a bit lost - is it an expectation that our creditors will accept less interest ?
