The reason we were so close to relegation was Royle didn’t come until after 14(?) games and we were rock-bottom. He did an incredible job in 94/95.

Even if we didn’t get points back and the full deduction of 12 points stood, we would’ve still stayed up. This points to both the job Dyche has done as well as the weakness of the Premier League, particularly the bottom 4 clubs.

Not official, but in reality we’re 100% safe. Luton aren’t winning 3 games on the bounce with a winning average of 3 goals, and we’re not losing our remaining 4 games, nor by the same margin.

If they use that as an excuse for a sub standard performance, it’s not valid. They’re professionals who played a 90 minute game midweek, it’s nothing out of the ordinary.
