That has to be who is he talking about. Seeing as the extension for their loan repayment was reported to be only weeks. My guess is MSP exercise their option, restructure the debt and then sell Everton off for a tidy profit.

I'd sell him in the summer honestly, only 22 so still have some value but don't think he will ever be defensively solid enough no matter who the manager is.

I think if our new overlords 777 really wanted to keep him around when they eventually take over(god knows when) he would have been given a contract extension by now. Feel for him in a way he's trying to put out 40 fires with a water can with holes in the bottom.

Even if MSP do grant and extension to 777 that still doesn't guarantee them getting their money. I think one thing that has been proven over all these months is that 777 don't have the funds to complete a full takeover.

The most likley scenario is probably going to be that 777 don't pay MSP by monday. MSP exercise their option for majority control. They stick around long enough to see the stadium finished then sell Everton on for a tidy profit on their original investment into the stadium/club.

If MSP do assume control one would assume it would be alot easier for them to go out and get a loan to pay off Everton's debts/ fund the remaining stadium bills.

It's all going to boil down to whether MSP want actual control of this rudderless ship or not. If they just want to see their money repaid they will grant 777 their extension to have their loan repaid. If they truly do want control of the club they will say no and if they money is not repaid by...
