Nuno Espírito Santo Tactical Analysis (or anyone else who becomes fav)

Great post but devalued by :’Mason Holgate, accomplished ball player’. Plus playing out from the back is so 2009.

    2020/21 Michael Keane

I admire your enthusiasm, breadth of knowledge (in identifying players world-wide) and fondness for stats, Zat. That said, aspects of the game perhaps are still beyond you? I don’t doubt for a second that Southgate would include Keane in the blink of an eye, but unfortunately for Keane...

    2020/21 Michael Keane

Keane is a natural defender. Godfrey isn’t. Speed/pace is one thing, but learning how to use it is something entirely. Godfrey will learn from, and improve, around the likes of Michael Keane. There really is nothing more to add to this, folks.

Be sure to pop in, Paps, next time your passing. Kettles always on or even an ice-cool G&T if the weather’s favourable ;)

    New Everton Manager

Great post. Can’t argue with any of it. But, traditionally, would any of the ‘top six’ or Spanish/Italian giants have adopted this approach? I think if we do go down that route, it would have to be Moyes who has still yet to prove himself with a decent budget and full club support. Forget the...

Caldy. You get a better view (and those of his tennis courts) from the Dee.

This is a well trodden path and not unique to us. Occurs across all managerial spectra and something Moyes will have been advised to implement when learning his trade. It’s nothing personal.

Conor Coady would be a bonus to our defence. Reminds me of a young Dave Watson.

    2020/21 Richarlison

His issue was one of frustration borne of his own clumsiness that he, and we, experienced once too often. A Kyrgios syndrome I would suspect.

I’m of the humble opinion that Bill still has Moshiri’s ear, and we’re all well aware of the bond that remains between he and David Moyes. A conversation along the lines of “we tried the Fancy Dans....” may just swing it in his favour. Of course, I could be very wrong.

    New Everton Manager

All good points, Bren, but as we’ve just witnessed, Managers can be a mercenary lot. New owner - with whom we are led to believe he holds some sway - new stage, capital, unfinished business with an arguably bigger club, not to mention a resident of the north west. The pros for he far outweigh...

    New Everton Manager

We need to start again and instill some discipline. That’s why it has to be David Moyes, but this time give him the cash he needs.

The gulf in integrity between Tom and Ancelotti.
