I agree, I thought in the first half he struggled to influence the game as much by not getting the ball in the right positions. Second half was totally different. What surprised me most is the engine on him, he was closing down right to the end.

I’m not optimistic we are getting anyone in before the deadline. Moyes yesterday didn’t appear to suggest he had confidence in anything happening.

I thought he played well, but positionally I thought on occasions he got caught the wrong side of the ball. I caught Tarks screaming at him once in the second half.

Very good for about an hour and then seemed to fade a little. I thought it was his best display in the first half for us, he really ran the show at times.

I don’t get the negativity here, surely we have to trust Moyes who has coached him daily on the benefit he’ll bring. If Moyes wants him I support this.
