Fly out for my brothers wedding tonight, a week in Scotland followed by 4 nights each in Albufeira and Lisbon, then a couple of days in that there London before returning home.
49 hours from leaving my house to arriving at my brothers 😬
We finished rock bottom of the Highland league for something like 12 out of 14 seasons.
Used to be half decent back in the 80s and 90s, but when the Highland league effectively became the Aberdeenshire league, we couldn't compete with the money those clubs have.
Fort William is my home town. Made even more famous a few years ago when Sky sports did a section on them called "The worst team in Britain"
Considering they had gone 3 or 4 years without winning a single game, it was not without merit.
Mainly around that, a bit cooler when the winds come in, and one day had rain the likes of which I have never seen before.
We did Taormina (very pretty town but also very expensive), Catania - not a very affluent city but does have a lot of character and Palermo - a lot nicer than I expected...
Not been to the other two, but loved my trip to Sicily. Great scenery, great people, great food.
We went in early November last year, had absolutely biblical rain one day, the rest of the time we were walking around in shorts
I reckon we should follow the rs model and just hack into other teams player databases.
Saves money on scouting and the fine is only a million quid or so
I never made it to Eastern Turkiye, but the Western part was magnificent.
If you are doing Izmir, I assume you will be going to Efes? If so, you won't be disappointed 👍
The swing on top of the building behind the train station is worth doing if you're not afraid of heights.
Lieden is pretty cool, tons of cafes on the canals (also no tourists) and just a 20 minute train ride, or Den Haag and Scheviningen beach are just over an hour away.
Yep, people watch one rubbish game and think that is the standard they will be all season. Celtic can easily go on a ten game winning streak (and often do), no other club can compete with that.
Regardless of how hypocritical their customers are, they have taken a title winning team and strengthened their 2 weakest positions. Hate to say it, but they are a shoe in for the league again ☹️
The only area we are probably weaker than last season is in centre forward depth. Defence is pretty much the same, central midfield is stronger, attacking midfield is stronger. Much stronger. A hell of a lot stronger.
A few key additions in January and we will be going into next summers window...
We've had to endure months of non-stop negativity on here, just enjoy the good times while you can, because the cookers will no doubt be back online tomorrow complaining that we haven't signed M'bappe or something
