I do wonder about the mentality of doing this. Why would someone do it? What is wrong with waiting to see how he gets on.

Comments like "how the mighty have fallen" and his career is over, from fans of clubs who cant attract anyone of note, or Liverpool fans obsessing over Everton again, as you say wait before going all in with a conclusion

Surely it’d need more than 1%?
460,000 x £50.00 is £23,000,00.00.....but if they buy 2 items a year for the duration of his contract (each time we win the cup and then the league) it should work

I'm happy with the signing but I'm not getting excited yet, I want to see how we play and how he adjusts to the league first. The same applies to any new signing we make. I watched us play some of the most horrific football I've seen last season and that derby defeat still hangs around me. I have grown to dislike some players we have here and it takes hard work, graft and a serious attitude adjustment for things to turn around. I hope Rodriguez can be the playmaker we have missed for a number of years and the midfield can bring the best out of Gomes once again. I'm just going to see how it goes.

No one lost here. We got a player with great skill who can offer us a way forward if he gets his head in the game and keeps his body out of the treatment room.
