It was one of those that is rarely a penalty in the Premier League. In European competition that is given as a penalty every day. When you watch the European highlights there are at least 2 penalties every week where the ball is just belted at somebody's hand. Personally I prefer the Premier League's interpretation of the law.
 

I just want to know why he’s done 4 of our games already!! Why aren’t the club asking this question!
No other team has had the same ref 4 times already! Conspiracy by the fa is the first thing that comes to mind!
 
One of these was too close to give as a penalty

We never get them but we do seem to get them given against us. The Man City game at Goodison when Ake blasts the ball at Onana from even closer was about as bad as it gets. I think the Lino gave this from 40 yards away ffs!

Pawson is an abysmal ref who seemingly enjoys giving Everton as little as possible, it’s happened far too often now for it not to be at least subconscious.

I agree in principle and have been annoyed when they've been given against us, although the elephant in the room here is the inconsistency.

Those types of handball have been given against us and other teams this season, yet fairly regularly they aren't given to us. It needs to be consistent.

Exactly right. The European game is unwatchable now because of the hand ball low threshold not to mention the amounts of red cards for 'reckless' tackles where someone genuinely tries to make an honest tackle.

I mentioned this a couple of days ago. Onana is sliding in FROM 2 YARDS AWAY yet was given as intentional handball and no fuss in the media because its just little old Everton.

Onana, given as a pen, KDH given as a pen, Tarkowski given as a pen, so I don't give a flying one if Saturdays effort shouldn't be given because if that was in our box it sure as hell would have been given.
 
Refs & VAR think they're the stars of the show now.
They shouldn't be walking out ahead of the players, they should come out last & as for them being Mic'd up, don't get me started.
We should only have to look at who the teams are instead of worrying about the officials & the probability that they will be against us from the start.
The best refs used to be ones you didn't notice but now with Sky etc there's no chance of that.
