New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Getting to and from the ground is still a mess, probably because commander Steve and his cronies have done naff all about it.

Loved the Tifo and everything else the stadium is though, proud it’s our home.

Yes, out of towners have less options for night games etc. However, there are probably better options for them to perhaps park and ride at any peripheral northern line stations or near the city centre. The obvious logistics of the site means that there are far too few traffic lanes serving it, hence that congestion. The less cars in that immediate vicinty, then the less congestion and the better the shuttles can work. Obviously, some of the corporates and blue-badge holders need closer vehicular access.... but most of the rest should be able to use the shuttles or walk to public transport, and certainly not need to park west of the Northern Line around 10

Prior to the season I thought i would be ditching the car. After a few games I have settled on driving to Hunts Cross and Mersey rail from there. The only dodgy bit is Sandhills to Hunts Cross after the game. It takes longer than my journey to Goodison but once that has been mentally accepted it is usually ok

The streets at the bottom of Bank hall are ok for parking mate, 20 minute walk to the ground.

….unsurprisingly it was a Blue Santa, so it was obviously the ‘real one’. Looked a lovely experience put on by the Club; breakfast followed by a tour of the dressing room and walk out onto the pitch side to sirens and Z Cars.

They all had a terrific time, well done EFC.
I was on the stadium tour today (I highly recommend it) and Santa popped out to say hello.

He's a blue, naturally.

When using the train I've alternated between using Hunts Cross and South Parkway (I live in Woolton). I've had no problems at Sandhills yet, except one overly packed train. Even on Saturday, I only queued for just over 10mins before getting on train. For daytime games I've stayed in the ground for a drink, after which there has been no queues at all at Sandhills. Then I'm literally at the other end of Liverpool 20 odd mins later, no traffic delays at all. I've also used shuttles and walked into town too. Shuttles have been fine outside those 1 hr windows. The only issue has been the number of people insistent on parking as near as possible to the ground clogging the main access junctions on Grt Howard St. Full bus priority across that junction and enforced matchday parking restrictions could sort much of that.

Quite concerning the stewards/security spend a considerable amount of time analysing and monitoring fans downstairs in the concourses.

I watched a “senior” steward writing down notes whilst watching fans just stand around chatting.

I asked him what he was doing and he said they were watching “fan behaviour”.

Every single large venue up and down the country is terrified of another Manchester bombing mate.

I completely agree with what you`re saying, but sadly whilst we have these lunatics wanting to blow people up, it`s just the way it is.

We were out for a meal last night. We were saying how great the tifo was. Then a smartass youngster asked what tifo stood for? Is it an acronym etc? F = flag or fan? Maybe.
We were all wrong
