Lovely fella was Dave,to be honest I've only ever been on one tour and it was with Gordon Watson as the guide,I think he played and worked in different capacities for the club for 60 odd years,I remember it was the midweek before the Telford cup game in 1985,snow on the pitch and I got to see trophies

Gordon Watson was a title winner in 1938-39 and a coach under Catterick.
I think he was the first,or one of the first,ex players to benefit from an operation paid for by the Everton former players association raucously supported at the Hall of Fame dinners in the Adelphi.
