Ideal time to begin the Gana phase out, and I don’t say that because of the other night. I’ll happily have him start for us again, he apologised immediately, move on.

However his self-then-AFCON forced extended absence makes us try life without him which, given his age, we probably needed to begin doing anyway.

They've just played away in the CL.

This stadium is a tough place to come to.

2-0 Everton.

This is the same club that tried to phase him and Coleman out 6 years ago, and both are still starting games here.

Im excited. Very excited.
Lets ride the hot hand .
The champions league chasing toffees at home to the horse punchers under the lights.
It will be rocking.
We will need to make at least one change with our super middle weight suspended.
Hopefully someone smashes Gordon too the ginger rat.
Lets smash these Geordie beauts.
Up the Hill Dickinson Toffees .
How does one ride a hot hand?
*asking for a friend.

Barnes is my main worry in this one. He's in excellent form and our fullbacks are our very obvious weakness. I still fancy us to win this but I'd be playing Garner at RB even though that weakens our midfield.
Main issue with that means we have Tim, KDH and Alcaraz as the midfield 3. 2 of whom are prone to giving it away sloppily. I’d actually fancy JOB up against Barnes or Gordon tbh.

I think of Garner was going to be considered for RB, we would have seen it happen vs Man United meaning that Tim or Charly got more of a run out

Yep, it's not ideal. It's why I was utterly staggered that we didn't buy a RB in the summer. We're so weak at both fullback positions that it's pulling players all over the place. I'm not sure that I agree with JOB being a good choice against the Newcastle wingers, I think they're the real threat in this Newcastle side.

Saturday is a great opportunity for someone to stake a claim for the Gana role long term. As much as I love Gana I hope whoever gets selected seizes the opportunity

Really looking forward to this - UTFT!
