Ref was quick to show the card but it was always going to be a red, especially as it would have likely gone to VAR. We can chat about refs being inconsistent or that it’s a soft one, but the buck stops with Gana in my opinion.

That said, I am absolutely buzzing today. Woke up with a pounding headache before the school run because I decided to have a couple of pints to celebrate. As someone who lives in Manchester, looking forward to bumping into a few mates today !

In al the circumstances that was one of the best Everton performances that I've seen in the last 10 years .
I thought every player tried their heart out and despite being down to 10 for some stupidity and ridiculous refereeing we tried to play football.
I've often been critical of Moyes' tactics and subs but he was spot on last night.
Brilliant.
This was huge for me because when we got on the ball, we were easy on the eye. It’s a huge positive to see some good football on show again.

The morning after the night before, a rare occasion where the positives far outweigh the negatives.
Great performance, fantastic away support in the stadium.
My gaffer is a Utd supporter, smashing guy but he'll be a quivering mess this morning, I'm in later and he's getting it with both barrels 🙂
Taking absolutely nothing away from our performance how poor did we make Utd look?
We should take confidence from this performance and look up the table not down, European places are open this season and we're good enough to be right in the mix for them.

Don’t blame Gana.
I’ve wanted to slap Michael Keane for years.
Ain't this the truth. Ironically it's this season he deserves it least!

Glad Moyes has got more of a tune from him whilst Jarrad's {still} crocked.

Keane needs to wake up, he looks a 'lollop' still at times in his timing but there is a footballer in there that can time blocks and corners well.

Need him on his A game.

In the cold light of the day I can see why he might have intervened with a card. Still think it's soft. The rules state that a player is guilty of violent conduct unless the force used was negligible. Keane didn't flinch so surely it was negligible. But as you say Gana didn't even need to get himself in that position.

In work early...skint, tired....no sleep... sore throat.....

Stupid inane grin on me chops after last night though.......

What a performance and finally Moyes gets a result at one of the Sky six.....

Great confidence booster for the rest of the season now. Newcastle game looking huge ......

Let's batter these clueless Geordie divvies.....

I honestly thought after Gana got sent off that it would cost us.( which in retrospect was stupid but deserved a yellow).
However, it was an unbelievable performance from 10 men.
Pickford outstanding and unbeatable.
The more the game went on the more confident I got.
Utd's build up play was far too slow to trouble us. Far too many sideways and backward passes, which allowed us time to get 10 men behind the ball.
One of the best performances from an Everton team for years.
