I’ve seen referees allow managers to sub players to avoid them getting a second yellow card. It’s just so inconsistent and the biggest pile of bollocks. It’s pretty unwatchable as a sport these days.

It’s funny listening to announcer going “refs got no choice” about a completely game swinging decision that’s kinda meh and then go into forensic analysis over a blatant intentional foul in the middle of an attack that draws what is ultimately a mostly inconsequential yellow.
